"Overall most of our needs were met as a group. Sleeping spaces for enough people to sleep at least 6 comfortably & then some extra pullout/futon couches available. However a few issues we came across were - the cleanliness upon arrival specifically the presence of dead or live flies at almost every window. Upstairs bedroom the flies were making noise all night at least the first night of our stay. - the water must be well water because it smelled like sulfur every time someone ran the sink...

"The unit worked out well. It was very clean and functional. The fireplace and deck were pleasant. We did not cook. The only problem was the second bedroom was up a narrow staircase. All three of us are elderly and couldn't negotiate the stairs. So the lone person slept on the couch."

"We love staying here because it is scenic, quiet, comfortable, and in the most perfect location. Easy to town. Easy to summer hiking trails (and winter ski trails). Just easy. The beds are all comfortable. Having two bathrooms is a bonus. And the kitchen is well supplied with coffee makers, a plug-in hot water pot, great knives, and plenty of dishes, mugs, and glassware. The host responds quickly to messages. Highly recommended!"

"There was 9 of us from five states that got together for 4 days. We mainly stayed at the house with one day taking in the village. Made memories. Negative thoughts were safety and cleanliness. The bottom half of house was not really that clean. Previous guests must have had food fight as there was cheese stuck to the ceiling and pull out couch had crumbs galore in the cushions. Should have at least one flashlight for power outages and more garbage bags and paper towels. Bathroom handle down...

"Quiet, only nature sounds when on trails and near house. Pretty private, beautiful scenery, hiking & fishing. Stargazing is incredible here, LOOK UP! My girlfriend and I stayed at David’s cottage to unplug and unwind for our anniversary. While we found ourselves using the tv as Penn state disappointed us against OSU, that was the only disappointment during the wonderful weekend we had. "We stayed 2 nights in a ski in/ski out room with 2 queen beds. We were in building 2, which was convenient location to walk to the Lodge where a complimentary great breakfast is available from 7-10am. Karen was friendly and efficient and never leaves the free Starbucks coffee empty. Kudo’s to her for starting at 5am for us. Now, on to the room and property. Awesome. Clean from the Lodge to the room to all bathrooms l used to the property itself. Impressed. The bed was comfy and there were 4 big, fluffy pillows on each bed and 2 more in the closet. Big WIN for me .. I love pillows. Next score was not one but two blankets in the closet. One a light down (my fave) and one a little lighter. Check in was smooth (Thank you Gabrielle). Oh, we got Peanut Butter Pie from Edna’s Restaurant next door. It was the BEST. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor heated pool around 9pm one night, but preferred the outdoor hot tub. The whole stay was great and we can’t wait to go back. (One note… our room did not have a microwave but there is one to use in the Lodge so it wasn’t a big deal for us) "
