Kallarroo Cottage - Rustic Log Cabin Retreat

Welcome to Kallarroo, a hidden gem nestled near Nimmitabel just outside of Cooma, New South Wales!

Our enchanting retreat is perfectly situated near the Numeralla River, embraced by the natural beauty between two national parks and a stone's throw away from the renowned Snowy Mountains. Picture yourself on 1000 acres of rolling countryside, featuring native forests, picturesque grazing land, and a stunning three-kilometer frontage along the Numeralla River.

The log cabin, nestled on the mountainside, offers sweeping and majestic views down the valley, creating a picturesque setting for an idyllic retreat. Surrounded by the tranquility of nature, this rustic and secluded cabin provides a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

As you step inside, the warmth of the open fireplace welcomes you, creating a cozy ambiance that complements the charming log cabin atmosphere. The crackling fire sets the stage for a relaxing experience, where you can unwind with a good book or simply enjoy the company of loved ones.

The cabin's interior exudes a sense of traditional Australian farm life, with its rugged yet inviting decor. Wooden furnishings, warm color tones, and vintage touches create a space that feels both authentic and comfortable.

For those seeking adventure, the surrounding landscape beckons exploration. Lace up your boots and embark on bushwalking trails that wind through vast pastures and ancient old-growth forests. Keep an eye out for native wildlife, from kangaroos grazing in the distance to colorful parrots perched on branches overhead. The crisp mountain air and the sounds of nature provide a serene backdrop to your outdoor adventures.

Whether you choose to relax by the fireplace or embark on a bushwalking journey, this log cabin offers a genuine taste of the Australian countryside. It's a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to connect with nature and savor the simple pleasures of rural life.

After a day of bushwalking and exploration, the hot tub becomes a private oasis where you can rejuvenate both body and mind. Whether you're seeking relaxation, romance, or simply a moment of solitude, the hot tub experience adds an extra layer of luxury to your rustic retreat, making your stay in the log cabin a truly unforgettable escape into nature's embrace.

wonderful
We loved our weekend at Kallarroo. There is so much to do and our stay was not long enough to explore it all. The kids enjoyed the outdoors exploring and engaging with the animals. Beata is a exceptional host, friendly and welcoming. The cottage was spotless when we arrived with everything we needed. It is our second time there and will be going again.

AMAZING!!!
Thank you so much Beata!! We loved the place. My brothers, sister and myself booked this for the weekend and have to say that we were absolutely blown away by it the minute we arrived. The cottage is very comfortable and extremely clean. There was more than enough wood for both fire places inside and the outside fire pit had ample wood to burn also, which we made use of as we sat around and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Will definitely recommend and am looking forward to staying here again.

Kallaroo Cottage is the perfect place to escape
It's the attention to detail that makes Kallaroo Cottage so warm and inviting - from the neatly stacked dining plates in the kitchen cupboard to the homemade furniture pieces - like the coffee table and bedside tables. As soon as you enter the cabin it's as though the only thing needed to make it perfect is a hot chocolate in your hands. We stayed over a weekend and booked Kallarroo for a much-needed timeout. It was the perfect setting. We walked the property and saw kangaroos, horses, cows and birds overhead. We had an open fire BBQ on a perfect full moon night when everything seemed still and quiet. We slept downstairs on a comfortable queen size bed with a plush quilt keeping us warm and our dog on his own comfy bed beside us on the floor. There was no TV reception but we welcomed this and were happy to watch videos or read the books that were provided. We especially liked the interesting pieces around the cabin like an antique fishing rod attached to the roof beams and old horse riding straps. The cabin was spotless and all the appliances worked well. The Bathroom was clean and tidy. The hot water system ran a little too well as it was hot hot hot out of the tap - so a little care was needed to add more cold water than normal. Everything you need to feel comfortable is at Kallaroo. You only need to bring food and clothes. We would definitely return.
