We have stayed here 3 times. Not fancy but very comfortable. My brother and I have been doing our annual fishing trip up in Greer for 20 years and Martin's Getaway has been the best place to stay so far. Hot showers, comfortable beds, will be coming back next year.

Clean spacious property with plenty of linens. Loved the deck and amenities provided. With the windows open at night, we noticed a little road noise as it is close to Main Street. Loved seeing deer and elk grazing in the nearby pasture at dusk and dawn. I wish there were more flat surfaces near the beds to place small objects like eyeglasses, but overall, a great cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean with a nice big patio with beautiful views. Check in was very easy and convenient. We would definitely stay here again. The only complaint we had was the frying pans were very old and scratched up and there was no tupperware, aluminum foil, saran wrap or baggies to put leftovers in. Overall a very pleasant experience!

We've visited Greer many times, but this cabin was by far our worst experience.Pros:Spacious layoutClean-looking kitchenHelpful utility staff who delivered firewood and repaired the washerCons:The Wi-Fi was terrible. We had to go to the local library just to download movies for offline viewing. While the kids were on vacation, I still needed to work and use the internet, which was impossible. We came to ski and booked a five-night stay. Since there hadn’t been any snow for months, I asked the cabin butler if we could check out a few nights early because the kids were miserable—no Wi-Fi and no snow. She said she’d contact the owner. The next day, I followed up, but she still hadn’t received a response. She promised to call. The day after that, I called the office, but no one answered. I even went down to the office, and nobody was there. Frustrated, we decided to leave a day early anyway.dirty carpets and stinky couchConclusion: I will never book this place again.

Nice cabin. Very roomy. Outside deck was great. Outside grill was excellent. Kitchen had everything we needed but the stove is a little dated. Shower in one bathroom had very low water pressure. Cabin sits next to main road and tends to be noisy. Other than that very comfortable.

Over the past 15 years I have stayed at Sargent's numerous cabins. They are always spotless, well maintained and stocked with everthing you need for an enjoyable stay. I have stayed in other cabins in the area and they were not up to Sargent's high standards. So, whether you are fishing Greer lakes, skiing Sunrise or enjoying the areas many other activities , I would recommend staying at Sargents.

Loved the large deck. We spent most of our time out there...eating, talking, and playing games. Lots of space for our group and very comfortable. We did need to get some items from the store, but nothing we could have done without. The only negative is the location...it is right on the main road. Vehicles seem to speed right there too. I'd like to see some traffic calming speed bumps added on that stretch of the road to slow everyone down.

This cabin was absolutely perfect and better than I expected! It was far more spacious than I anticipated . Very clean and so comfortable. We had absolutely everything we needed and more !! Definitely would recommend and stay here again ! So close to sunrise ski resort which was the reason for our trip . Just don’t arrive at night if you have difficulty seeing at night like me , I struggled a little bit in finding the cabin but that’s because my eyes are bad . 😳😀

Three couples rented this lodge for the weekend. We picked up the key and drove to the conveniently located lodge. Everything was very clean and well appointed. The bedrooms were private. We enjoyed the fireplace with a plentiful supply of wood. The living room had comfortable seating for the six of us. The kitchen was well supplied with everything to prepare full meals. Owner called us during stay to see if there was anything we needed. It was a wonderful weekend getaway.

Every fall for the past 15 years our whole family (12 of us) has stayed at a Sargent cabin. Last summer my wife and I spent a June weekend at this cabin, the Sargent's Lodge. As always, Jay's cabins are clean, unique and very comfortable. Everything works and Jay is always doing something to keep his cabins fresh and up-to-date, like you would if it were your own special place. Whenever we walk into one of his cabins, we always look to see "what's new this year". Thanks, Jay, for providing our family with so many happy memories!!

Was fun! It was great, because of the location. Only issue is the cleanliness of it. Looks like the cleaner just gave it a wipe down. So I had to clean it, & the couches were super gross, we had to put a blanket over them lol. Also walk in shower didn’t work, I forgot to let management know. The washer was very dirty and didn’t work, it stopped during the wash cycle, so we let management know. it wasn’t such a huge inconvenience since I was prepared.

We have been vacationing in Greer for more than 30 years. Having rented other cabins early on, once we found Sargent's Lodge it quickly became our favorite. They have a larger cabin called the Hacienda which was excellent for a small family reunion. We now live in Oklahoma and it had been six years since our last visit. We were not disappointed. Everything still looked new and we were elated to find that WiFi was now available. The cabin has a great view of the valley and you can easily walk to nearby restaurants and shops. Fishing is really just a stones throw from the cabin! This cabin provides a sense of privacy not easily found in this vacation hotspot. Try it! You won't be disappointed.

Stayed for 2 nights but on the second night one of the kitchen appliances beeped randomly throughout the night. I shared this with the host and asked for a refund for the one night it occured and they refused. They said it was weather related and therefore not subject to a refund, but also said they could not replicate the beeping...so how did they know it was weather related? Regardless, they clearly were unable to do the right thing and refund the one night's rate.

We spent 10 nights at Sargent Lodge and loved it, will be back for sure. Has everything you could need to make your vacation comfortable and relaxing, just bring your clothes and food. Jay Sargent makes you feel so welcomed and makes sure you have everything you need, the nicest guy you will meet. The weather was great and Greer is beautiful. Nice porch to sit and enjoy your morning coffee and watch all the deer come through your yard, one morning we had about 8 deer in our yard. Then in evening BBQ your steak and have a couple of beers, play some cards, read, or visit with friends or family. Beds are very comfortable, plenty of room for 10 and our doggy Chloe had a great time running around in the big yard and enjoyed the lakes. We did lots of fishing. One night we even had a fire, rained everyday, but not all day, you can still go out for your walks, bike ride, fishing ,or kayaking. Very peaceful , beautiful pand relaxing! We will be back. Thank you Jay! We love your place. The Moreno's

I don’t have enough words to describe not on the management of this property, but the conditions at the property itself. Mice infestation throughout the cabin did not see the signs till we got there until we stayed there. Mice every day every evening running amok. We called complained and management promise to do something and never did. Management never called back to discuss the issue after several attempts that we were promised, and somebody would get back to us terrible property management, and overall conditions inside the cabin were disgusting very filthy, dirty cabinets, dirty couches, the pictures that they post and present in their ad is way deceiving, other than the natural surroundings which are beautiful cabin is way overrated for the price dishes have to be washed before used as myself a station was everywhere

My family and I have been going up to Greer for he past 10+ years. We love it. We always stay at Sargent cabins and that will never change. We have 4 generation family that always go. We stay for 2 weeks and the Lodge has plenty of room for our family. Cabin is always clean and is fully furnished with everything we need. All we bring is food, clothes and fishing gear. The beds are so comfortable, it is like home for us. So relaxing sitting on the porch outside drinking our coffee in the morning or our Bloody Mary's listening to the rain, watching the humming birds, reading and visiting with grandkids. Jay (the owner) is always available and he makes sure we have everything we need. The Lodge is in a great location, the grandkids are able to go to creek right to down the road with no worries from us. The Lodge also has a big fenced in yard where kids run, play games. Porch is also fenced in good for small children and pets. In the evening we sit around the kitchen table play games and listen to music. We we alway go to Greer every year and we will always stay at Sargent Cabins, it is always liike home to us. You will never find better people than Jay always wanting to make our stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable with no worries. Nice to have the washing machine in the cabin from our day of fishing or kids playing in the creek or rain, to be able to wash that load of clothes while we our sitting outside having a fish fry from our catch that day and enjoying our family time. As I said everything is supplied from dish soap, paper towel, coffee filters, detergent, bounce, tp, name it Jay has it for us. Our family loves Greer and my grandkids will always have the memory of our family vacations at Sargent Cabins. Jay Sargent your cabins are the BEST and we will ALWAYS return!

Rented Martins Getaway from The Cabin Butler Greer Cabin Keepers for Mothers day weekend. Arrived later in the evening so office was closed. To my surprise they did leave a key for the cabin taped to their office door. (Last time I rented through them they double booked and we ended up with no place to stay after a 5 hour drive.) Upon entering it was very apparent the cabin had not been cleaned to say the least. Piles of dirty laundry on the kitchen floor, feces in the toilet, dirty linens on the beds, stains on the couch, dead mouse, the 'clean' towels on the shelf were dirty and on and on. Could not find any clean sheets to make the beds myself or any bleach to wash anything or any disinfectant to clean the bathrooms. I called the after hours number and Kevin was wonderful and wanted to meet the next morning at the offices. While on the phone with him we managed to find some, hopefully, clean sheets for 2 beds and thankfully I have a habit of bringing lysol wipes (since Covid) to wipe down the surfaces. So about 1 am we were able to get some sleep. Driving 5 hours to fish my favorite lakes on Saturday morning for Mothers Day was ruined. Lea, the wonderful lady in the office that came in her own car and picked up a literal car full of dirty linens, wanted to help but she relied on her boss, Lauren, to agree to any sort of reimbursements. After multiple phone calls and messages to Lauren still have yet to talk to her. It is a shame this company is the monopoly in this wonderful little town. If I was the owner I would be mortified that they would rent this cute cabin in this disgusting condition and be OK with it.

Our family has vacationed in Greer for nearly 30 years, since our boys were small children. When we gave up our tent trailer, we looked into the cabin get-a-way, and have rented Sargent's Cabins on numerous occasions. Both Sargent's Hideaway and Sargent's Cabin served us well, But now our boys have families, and we moved up to Sargent's Lodge two years ago. (The next step will likely be Sargent's Hacienda.) Our stay at the Lodge this past Labor Day weekend was perfect, as always. Jay keeps the cabin in pristine condition. Most everything is provided with the exception of clothing, personal items, and food. There was plenty of room for the grandkids and all the adults. The boys had fun playing on the large deck and out on the lawn in the built-in horseshoe pit. We barbecued steaks and trout on the gas grill and dined, both outdoors on the terrace, and at the large dining room table. The view of the valley, mountains, and Little Colorado is exquisite. (Our oldest son caught his first trout many years ago just a stone's throw away from the cabin.) At night, we could clearly see the Milky Way over our heads, and we watched the moon and Venus set in the west. We have utilized Sargent's Cabins during all seasons of the year. Whether it be a ski trip, or summer retreat, the facility is conducive to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities in any type of weather. The WiFi at the Lodge is most helpful, and there is even a phone, if needed. The Lodge is in close proximity to shopping, restaurants and medical facilities in Springerville, cross country and downhill skiing, walking, hiking and mountain biking. Bird watching, flora, and fauna are all a foregone conclusion. (A bluebird greeted us every morning from its perch in the Ponderosa Pine next to the Lodge.) There are also wonderful eating spots in Greer, as well as other attractions to enjoy. For anglers, there are numerous spots along the Little Colorado, the Greer Lakes, Sunrise and Big Lake, to mention just a few bodies of water close by. Jay and family exude pride of ownership, and are generous in sharing their properties with renters. From the time we entered the Lodge living room with the interesting array of stuffed trophies and art displayed on the walls, to the moment we departed for home, our time at Sargent's Lodge was marked with joy and relaxation. As our older son remarked, "I want my children to experience all the great times we had in Greer as kids." We look forward to returning!
