Greer trip
We enjoyed our stay here tremendously. We enjoyed the location and the deer that came through. The cabin was cozy and welcoming we would definitely love to come back and stay again. The hammock in the trees was a favorite spot!

Nice cabin and location
Cabin was great, location was great, we enjoyed our stay. Communication and assistance was also great. Only complaint would be the cleanliness. Overall it was ok, but could use a detailed cleaning and carpet cleaning to freshen it up. We would stay here again, and use this property manager again.

Hideaway cabin
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and nice. They had an old espresso maker that we took full advantage of and now have one on the way to our own house! Nice place in a quiet area. Secluded is probably relative but there is a little elbow room compared to other properties in the area.

Great Cabin!
This place was excellent. Would highly recommend staying here. It was very clean and comfortable. We were also able to go hiking without having to drive anywhere. We hiked the East Fork Trail and Government Trail right from the front door! Little Colorado River is a stone throw away along with walking into town to the café and gift shop. Overall awesome trip.

We enjoyed our stay and everything was as advertised. We especially liked the outside property amenities like: horseshoes pits, swinging love seat, hammock, and the wonderfully appointed porch. The circl driveway provideed easy in and out. Additionally everyone we worked with at Cabin Butler were wonderful. Thank you!

Great stay!
Such a quiet rustic cabin that met all our needs! Sargents really know how to do it. Cabin is fully equipped with all amenities including cookware, tv/DVD with DirectTv and a ton of firewood! Will certainly be back again. Even a bear spotted nearby couldn't keep us away!

Cozy and clean cabin at end of town
The cabin was very clean and the perfect size for our family of four. It had everything we needed for our stay; plenty of blankets, towels, linens and the kitchen was well stocked, including grilling tools for the outdoor gas grill. The porch has seating to relax and while it's not totally secluded in the woods, it is several hundred yards from any neighbors (who we never heard). And we were close enough to walk down to the Little Colorado.

A lovely weekend getaway
We stayed in Sargent's Hideaway for Thanksgiving weekend. We found the cabin to be very clean and well-stocked without being cluttered. It was a very comfortable place for our family of four, and the proximity to the playground and lodge made for some nice family walks (we were lucky with weather, as it was not too cold). Jay Sargent was also very helpful before our trip, answering my questions via email or phone call within 24 hours every time. We will definitely stay in this cabin again on our next trip to Greer.

Better than expected
After looking at all the available cabin rentals online, I settled on Sargent's Hidesway, and definitely made the right choice. Lot was exceptional, private and lots of aspen trees. Loved the cabin, nice open floor plan, well-appointed kitchen, fire place and wi-fi came in handy. Short drive to the Greer Lakes where we caught our limit of rainbow trout. Trip was excellent, will be renting Sargent's Hideaway next year as well. Highly recommended.

My Vietnam friend and myself stayed at the Sargents Hideaway cabin the last week of May 2015. Can't say enough about the location, views and how clean the cabin was, loved seeing the elk and deer coming right by the cabin every day just before sunset. Mr Sargent stopped by to meet us and give us history of the cabin and surrounding area, I highly recommend to anyone who want's to get away and charge your inner batteries you need to make this a stay. Thank you Mr sargent

We had a blast here! The cabin is quiet and cozy. Good atmosphere. The staff for check in was super nice and helpful. The only thing I would change is the refrigerator doesn’t get very cold so we had to put our meat in the freezer. Also, the grill had lots of built up Grease and needed to be cleaned badly. Not knowing this, We tried to grill burgers, and started a grease fire so that was exiting but everyone lived. Would definitely come back though

Needs some fixing before renting out again.
The only thing wrong was the sofa sleeper in the cabin was broke and could not be used so 2 slept on the floor. I talked to the girl at the desk the very next morning and she told me they were aware of it and was working on it?I even paid an extra $150 because we had 6 instead of 4 people. Ad shows sleeps up to 6 people but when i inquired I was told that the price was for only 4 people. Other than this we had a great time. Such a beautiful place.

Excellent
We stayed there over the Greer days in June and loved this cabin. Great location, right off the main road but far enough up in the woods to have the deer stroll by. We walked down to the main street in Greer to shop and see the parade Saturday morning which was really enjoyable. The cabin was clean and had everything we need. So nice to have a fully stocked kitchen, extra towels, linens, etc. Wifi worked great. And the porch area was screened and even had a baby gate so my little dog couldn't escape. Jay came to by to say Hello and see how we were doing. Such a nice guy and enjoyed meeting him. This is our new go to place.

Our Favorite Greer cabin
My family has stayed in many cabins in Greer over the last 35 years. This one is our favorite! We've chosen it several times. It combines comfort, privacy, affordability, and accessibility. There is great fishing to be found a short drive from this cabin, but even better is the convenient "family fishing" to be found a short walk away in the Little Colorado River's west fork! Everything is always clean and in good repair inside the cabin. The front porch is great for watching wildlife, enjoying a rain shower, or just hearing the wind in the trees. If you want to take a challenging hike there are plenty of choices. If you want to take a stroll for a meal or an ice cream cone you can do that too. I've got to tell you though, the local restaurants face tough competition from anything prepared in the cabin's well-equipped kitchen or on it's gas barbecue.

Outstanding Cabin in the Woods
Nestled among the ponderosa pines on a gentle slope above the West Fork of the Little Colorado River, and a few hundred feet from other cabins, this cabin was a delight the moment we walked in the front door. It was a little tricky finding the right cabin, but the photo on the check-in sheet allowed us to identify it after one false start. The cabin exceeded our expectations. Everything worked (except the carousel in the microwave), appliances were modern, heater was efficient, hot water was almost instantaneous, Wi-Fi was strong, DirecTV was just like home, and the fireplace (with abundant firewood in the adjacent shed) was a cheerful touch to warm the brisk evenings. The gas barbecue on the porch was just what we needed to grill the steaks for the dinner to celebrate the April birthdays of three of the four people in the cabin. The cabin is far enough from the river so that its sound doesn't drown out the sounds of nature at the cabin--the spring migration of birds hadn't peaked yet here at 8,400 feet elevation, but we enjoyed hearing the songs and calls of Dark-eyed Juncos, American Robins, Steller's Jays, and a Southwestern Red (or Fremont's) Squirrel. Our only concern: we were very disappointed to see several rodenticide bait stations around the outside of the cabin. Rodenticides have a harmful ripple effect in the environment: poisoned target animals are eaten by and kill predators higher in the food chain (owls, coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, etc.).

Is always nice stay at this location.
WiFi did not work whole time we were there. For laundry - only 1 pod & very little laundry soap. We always bring our own which we use on our things - but did sheets with the 1 pod, started towels with the other soap.
