"I gave this a good only because of the reception staff especially Anna and Ben who were particularly kind and helpful. The hotel was a great location and had a gym which we used . But our room was dirty and not cleaned even when we put out the please do our room sign on our door. We only got refreshments coffee and tea etc on our first day and we were staying three nights . Our room was not cleaned and the beds were not made and we had to ask reception for toilet roll to be replenished , new...

"The staff were superb, friendly, helpful, welcoming, and they went out of their way to ensure that I had a pleasurable experience. I stayed in the Penthouse which didn't have a charging point for my toothbrush or shaver in the bathroom, and the coffee served at breakfast was terrible! Besides these two minor setbacks, the hotel is in a great location in the city centre opposite the train station, albeit the decor of the hotel is rather old but it does have a certain charm about it."

Able to park on site but there is a public car park immediately adjacent. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom a bit dated and the hotel bar would benefit from more extensive stock especially for night caps and a brandy glass instead of a tumbler! Would stay again."
