Cottonwood Cabin

Step into a relaxing & nature filled world with this peaceful one room cabin. Set beside a small creek that features its own tiny waterfall and surrounded by trees, it’s the perfect spot to get away. ☀️

This property boasts 150 acres of land to explore, hike, bike, ride UTV/ATV’s (not provided), fish, relax, and enjoy! Feel free to jump in a pond and swim or take a kayak down the creek.

There is a shared pavilion with a propane grill ready for use. Also in this space is a lovely fire pit area with provided seating and a perfect way to end the day!

Lots of animals call this property home! There are roosters, chickens, cats, and a very friendly dog.

The cabin is set up for maximum comfort with provided linens, towels, pillows, blankets, mini-fridge, microwave, hot plate, pots/pans, dishes, cups, and silverware.

RV hookups available.

Perfect weekend getaway!
We had an awesome overnight stay at the Stone Ranch. The cottonwood cabin was perfect in so many ways. My boys loved the ranch dog Denali and having a go at catching a chicken. Fishing, golf carting, paddle boating, s'more making, and getting lost from the hustle of city life made our stay splendid.

Great Getaway!
We had a great Valentine’s Day weekend there as it was peaceful and quiet. We will be back this summer with the kids for the fishing, kayaking, and atv riding! The hosts were very accommodating as well.

This property wasn't just a location. It was a whole experience! Lots of areas to explore, lots of activities to do and plenty of acres to wander. There was no need to leave the property to keep entertained. My spouse and I planned a family get away while we were there "getting away". Will definitely be back!

The property and cabin was nice. We came on a rainy weekend but still had some time for a little hike and fishing. Most memorable times was just sitting outside listening to the rainfall and hanging out with our host dog Denali. She will put a smile on your face for sure. The host was very kind and communicative throughout the entire stayed. Great get away from the noisy city life.

Great family Getaway
Scott was very helpful with our stay for our son's birthday! Love that there was pretty much all you need to stay from dishes, microwave, mini fridge, coffee pot, propane grill, fire pit, cute little cabins, great fishing spots, kayaks to use, and more! We hope to return. They even surprised my son with Chiefs cupcakes, which was so nice if them.

Much Needed Peace and Quiet Nature Retreat

Beautiful country getaway
Loved staying there - it was quiet, the cabin was clean and my husband could fish. We had one issue with the shower and the host was able to fix it IMMEDIATELY. It was just the peaceful getaway we needed. Do ask if there has rain if you are interested in the waterfall.

Country Relaxation
Both my husband & I had a wonderful time! Beautiful woods, peaceful & quiet & we loved the overall remoteness! They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary. The property was beautiful. We wish the weather was better so we could of enjoyed all activities. The dog was great but woke us up for about an hour barking. We had ants in the kitchen it the morning. We had a great time and would definitely recommend.

Weekend away
My family spent a long weekend in the Cottonwood Cabin. It is a tiny space but it was clean & had everything we needed. We weren't there to sit inside anyway! The kids LOVED fishing (we caught SO many fish starting on the 1st cast), the golf cart, kayaking in the creek, smores at the campfire, & the animals. It was so hot that weekend I was worried I wouldn't be able to sleep but the air conditioner did a good job keeping us cool. The hosts were fantastic, responsive, & helpful. We had a great time & would recommend it to anyone.

OUR NEW GET AWAY SPOT!!
If i could give 10 stars I would!! The property and amenities alone were so impressive! A quaint cabin with access to a grill (propane provided), fire pit (wood provided), and kayaking, just steps away from it all! Now let's discuss the owners.... THE MOST KIND AND GENEROUS PEOPLE!! They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything we were hoping for! My son has asthma, and forgot to bring his inhaler. On a whim i asked if they knew anyone close by that had an albuterol inhaler (the nearest hospital was 20 minutes away), and they asked around and brought us one!! The hospitality of these people was NEXT LEVEL! I will 1000% be returning, and have found my new home away from home!!

Getting out of KC and getting some quality family time in the sticks
Brought our dirt bikes, but spent more time swimming, fishing and kayaking than bikes. Great “glamping” experience. AC and roku tvs with bathroom/ showers, micro kitchen and golf carts for each cabin This isn’t the Ritz. It’s someone’s masssive property with small, well kept cabin dispursed. It’s what you want if your kids won’t get off tick tok, and you want to spend real time fishing, swimming, kayaking, grilling and hanging around a fire. If you have access to atvs and dirt bikes bring them. Great time. Kind of sad we’re back in Overland Park.

The Best Top Water Fishing!
Our weekend at Stone Ranch Cabin Rentals will be an experience we will always be talking about. Our cabin was clean, cosy and cool. The property was well maintained and Scott and Carrie were available for anything we might need. We are big on fishing and were blown away by the amount of quality AND quantity of fish we caught! Some of the ponds were lacking in water as they are everywhere this year but that did not stop us from catching many large mouth bass. The trip down the river was beautiful , relaxing and still caught more fish! Denali, the dog host stole our hearts! If she wants to ride with you in your golf cart, let her. Definitely not her first rodeo! Most certainly an amazing experience for us and plan to return!
