"The property is accurately described and the apartment is furnished with everything that is needed for an extended stay. It is an easy walk down the hill to Ellmau from the apartment. The mountain views from the apartment are spectacular. The owner is very easy to communicate with and always responds in a timely fashion. Our stay was for three days and we hope to return again. "For UK guests, having to take your own bedding and towels is a negative. Location is not a two-minute walk into town: ten minutes in, nearly twenty back as it’s all up! The bus from town finishes at 5pm. Kitchenette is facilitated - just. A dining table would be nicer than the fixed worktop, especially as there is room. The specification suggests there is a bedroom but it is a studio apt with a separate bathroom. Good sized balcony and large glass doors a definite bonus with a decent view."

I arrived late, in the dark, and luckily my son lives in the apartment block next door so he got the key for me from the hausmeister. There is no obvious hausmeister office outside, he lives inside the block, so you would need to know which number he is in to press the buzzer for entry, and that was not provided. "From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the property. In fact, we could not have picked a more perfect location. The house had everything we needed, which made our six-day stay truly memorable. The facilities were excellent, the view from the balcony truly stunning. "I had a wonderful time at the property, it had everything we needed for the week and was very close to local shops, restaurants and only a few minutes walk to the lift to get up the mountains. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony with views of the mountain in the evening. Communication with the owner was excellent and check in was easy. "Spent 8 days in a small but well equipped and great location apartment in the Saalbach region. The apartment is close to the bike tracks, close to the town and easy parking. These was also good storage for bikes. No issues at all !!"

"A stunning location nestled within mountain ranges, in the Bavarian Alps that straddles the border between Germany and Austria. It felt like we were staying in a very beautiful and cosy cottage. The hotel owner Josef Posch and his family have run the business for over two hundred years, they also run a busy and popular outdoor activity centre on the premise. Some of the nearby lands and mountains belong to him and his family. Josef was so warm, helpful and accommodating. On the first night, we checked in quite late as there was delay with our flights. He carried our luggages for us himself, even ordered some delicious pasta from a nearby takeaway for us. Downstairs there’s a whole counter of all sorts of tea and coffee available all day free of charge, and a fridge full of delicious cold drinks, he told everyone to help themselves and just tell him what we had on check out, we have never met business owner more generous, hospitable and trusting."

"We arrived on Saturday afternoon, and we were greeted by a very nice and helpful receptionist (David), who was super friendly, and gave us advice on what to do. Additionally you get the summer ticket as part of the stay which provides loads of discounts and counts for Public transport as well. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. Balcony with a nice view, a heated swimming pool(albeit not so big) and well taken care of Sauna section. Breakfast was good, with multiple options, but as the place itself is not so big, neither are the eating options. Parking outside was good (did not see the garage), lots of supermarkets and restaurants in the area, well connected (as wellas a small touristy area can be) and worst case is a 45 minute walk to Zell am see center. We enjoyed out stay and would come back for another visit"

"Great hotel for a stay in St Johann. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe, the staff were all very helpful. Good breakfast and dinner was varied. I particularly wanted a room with a balcony and there was nothing else in St Johann to compare price wise. Great e bike hire virtually next door & about a 10 minute walk into town. Raining when I left taxi to station was 10 euros. Would stay again"
