"The kindness of the staff, the convenience of proximity to the airport and car rental offices, and the perfectly adequate facilities provided at this hotel are what makes it a great choice. Breakfast was great, including both hot and cold items. The dinner menu was a relatively small but perfectly adequate choice. The food was good quality and a decent portion size. Rooms have comfortable beds, are clean, have good WiFi and kettle with complimentary tea & coffee. Bathroom is basic but adequate with plenty of hot water with good pressure in the shower. Bath towels need to be bigger and the addition of a shower mat to step onto when leaving the shower would be good. We had a flight cancellation and could no longer use one of the nights we’d booed at the hotel. After our explanation the hotel were amazing enough to refund our non-refundable room. Fantastic customer service that was much appreciated. Fully recommend this hotel. "

"Hotel is conveniently close to the airport. It was nice and clean - only thing it didn’t have was soap in the room. Breakfast was good and early (starting at 4am) for travelers with early flights. Hótel also has a shuttle to the airport. "

"We stayed just two days after they were able to reopen after the recent eruption and were picked up in Grindavik and driven to hotel. Staff was welcoming and supportive even in the setting of this recent eruption disruption. Food was good and environment was wonderful. Comfortable rooms and good set up. Good menu and bar. Location more amazing in setting of recent eruption. "
