The name 'Zandoli' means 'lizard' in the local French based creole spoken by the bi-lingual islanders on the beautiful island of St Lucia. This exotic house with its sensuous style of easy luxury and separate cottage - Ti Zan - set on an acre of hillside two minutes walk from the beach, combines the best of Caribbean architecture with a hint of the East, to create a villa of exceptional tropical flair, character and ambiance. With its typical West Indian woodwork, hand made Demerra and louvered windows, vaulted Indonesian style wooden shingled roofs, organic mix of natural stone, marble, wood and glass, burnt orange exterior, outdoor showers, stone and boulder enclosed pool set in lush gardens, and beautiful art collection, this stylish home provides a great location for an exceptional Caribbean villa experience.

Located at Becune Point, Cap Estate, Zandoli overlooks Rodney Bay and Pigeon island and offers offers dramatic, 180 degree, views of the Caribbean Sea. Nestled on a hilltop, Zandoli is a 2 minute walk to St Lucia's most famous beach, and 5 minute walk to Pigeon island, a Historic Park with exotic ruins, home to St Lucia's famous Jazz Festival. Zandoli is 5 minutes away from the village of Gros Islet, famous for its Friday night street fish and music 'jump ups', and the heart of the Tourism Industry, Rodney Bay Village and Marina with their many restaurants and music spots. Fitness, fishing, sailing, golfing are all within easy reach.

The main house is designed around three pavilions on different levels, linked by enclosed bridges framing dramatic views. The second and third pavilions, flanking the main pavilion on either side, accommodate two equally appointed spacious (320 and 300 square feet respectively) Master Bedroom suites with unique, king sized, four poster Balinese bamboo beds. Bedroom number 3, located at garden level, has its own private patio onto the garden, with a queen size bed with oriental bed-head, unique Mexican antique furnishings and bathroom en-suite. Bedroom four features a queen size Balinese bamboo bed, and Indonesian furniture. This opens onto the pool deck and garden. Each bedroom opens onto exquisite sea views and private patio leading to pool and garden areas.

Master Bedroom Suites (1&2) feature large, specialty river stone, tumbled marble and slate tiled bath areas with outdoor showers featuring 12' wide shower 'rain heads', as well as bath tubs. Outdoor showers are ideal for enjoying the romance of showering under the tropical moonlight and stars! Bathrooms 3 & 4 are equipped with showers, and have their own special atmosphere.

The handmade wooden door of the main pavilion opens onto a 700 square foot marble tiled sitting and dining area capturing magnificent panoramas of the Caribbean Sea and Pigeon Island. This opens directly onto spacious covered decks overlooking the ocean, perfect for dining, listening to the surf, or simply absorbing the beauty of the surrounding landscape. A modern kitchen with rustic ambiance opens directly onto the main deck. A large sunny room capturing spectacular views with TV (and Cable) and overstuffed Indonesian bamboo sofas is located at garden level in the main pavilion, and opens onto a rustic stone titled pool patio featuring a wet bar and swimming pool surrounded by sun deck framed by large boulders, colorful gardens and dramatic ocean vistas; 'a wonderful place' - as one guest remarks - 'to sip Velda's (the housekeeper's) wonderful run punch and watch the spectacular sunset!' The villa is accessed by road, a short section of which (approximately 1 minute) is unpaved - causing our guests to say that it puts them immediately in the mood for 'Island Life". We usually recommend that our guests opt for an SUV type vehicle if they are interested in renting given that it provides superb access to off-the-beaten track gems in St Lucia.

Wonderful Trip
We had a short but special stay at Zandoli Villa. The villa was perfect for 2 couples who needed it for a few days of peaceful relaxation prior to a destination wedding. Eddie was our driver and was always timely, kind, and fun. Velda was sweet and made sure we had all we needed. We had dinner delivered one evening using Baked by Yan, yum! The views and pool were perfection! Thanks for sharing your villa with us.

Great place to stay in Northern Saint Lucia
My family loved this house! It is in a great location for exploring the very fun Northern Saint Lucia area, and a great respite to come back to in the evening. Tons of space for hanging out and absolutely incredible views from the deck and pool area. Lots of different beaches nearby provide something for everyone whether you are looking for a busy fun area with plenty of bars and restaurants or an isolated beach with nobody nearby. I loved wandering around the property looking for interesting lighting for photos at different times of the day; I got some great shots of flowers, geckos, hermit crabs, many different birds, and some stunning sunsets. If you leave the bedroom doors open, don't forget to ruffle the bedding and mosquito nets to look for mosquitos BEFORE you get into bed and close the nets! I learned this the hard way! Thanks again to the owner for sharing this wonderful house.

My family of 6 adults really enjoyed our stay at Zandoli. The housekeeper Velda gave us a big welcome, answered all our questions and was a delight to talk to. We started off each morning sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and taking in the amazing views. The pool was great. Loved the open air concept of the house. Recommend keeping bedroom doors shut during the day and using the mosquito netting at night to avoid any mosquitoes getting in. We saw very few. There's ceiling fans and standing fans in every bedroom and everyone was comfortable while sleeping. There's a security system with instructions for use and we felt very safe during our stay. We did walk to Pigeon Island from the property one day. Hiked to Signal Point and the views were amazing. Would definitely recommend Zandoli to family and friends.

This property is unique and not for everybody. Some will like it, and some will be uncomfortable. Pros: Nice view; Spacious; Nice, friendly housekeeper for check in; Host is professional and accommodating; Not a far drive to amenities of Rodney Bay. Cons: Hilly, dirt road to access the property, and treacherous driveway if you are in the main house (steep, windy, narrow, limited space to turn vehicles around—though not as bad if you are in the cottage). The house is open to the elements: there are no screens on the windows in common areas (there are screens in the bedrooms); openings in the roof/ceiling are by design, so birds, frogs, lizards, and mosquitos will inevitably find their way into the house. No A/C. Again, some will love the house and the open concept. Others will not be comfortable because the design allows for animals and mosquitos inside the property. If you want a spacious house open to the elements, in a secluded environment, with a nice view, this property is for you.

Wasn’t sure what to title it but staying here you forget that you’re right outside the city. The views are stunning. The space is amazing for an d tire family. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was open to the elements, which would have been awesome if there wasn’t so much trees. The misquotes ate my family 😆, but during the day the open concept was amazingly beautiful. We loved sitting on the landing and playing games and eating meals. The WiFi is great, but with AT&T the back room it can be a little weak. Didn’t matter cause if you’re back there it’s time to sleep. The showers are amazing and there’s a security system so that give us a real sense of security out there. Between the maid, taxi drive, and the host all questions were answered. We had little to no issues with anything. My only tip is ask for washcloths before the maid leaves. Enjoy the views…

This was one of the NICEST stays I've enjoyed ever. The villa was absolutely gorgeous, spacious, luxurious, and relaxing. We were originally nervous about not having air conditioning but it truly was not needed as the breeze from the ocean was enough to keep the house cool, not to mention that you can hear it from the bedrooms. The pool was gorgeous, the views were incredible, the property was well-maintained, our driver Eddy was amazing, the housekeeper Velda was so friendly, and Len was very helpful with setting everything up. Stay here if you have the chance!

Serene Stay with Breathtaking Views
This was a wonderful home that lived up to high expectations. The views were amazing and the house was up to date but complete with character and charm. Eddie, our intrepid driver, was always on time and informative and when he couldn't free up his schedule to drive us to a site, his nephew picked up the slack (I had been debating whether to rent a car and am thrilled with my decision not to. The right-side drive and the mountainous roads would have been extremely challenging). The wi-fi in the home was amazing. Best VRBO wi-fi I've ever experienced. The sounds of the birds and the ocean waves created an impressive vacation soundtrack to the lovely surroundings. As warned by the owner, the mosquito community also welcomed our arrival. WIth no central air, it was necessary to keep windows/doors open to create breezy and pleasant temperatures, but those conditions allowed early morning and evening mosquitos to enter. We quickly learned that heeding the owner's advice regarding the application of repellant was wise. The only criticisim, albeit incredibly minor, is that a few of the interior lights in the dining/living area didn't work which made nighttime reading a bit challenging. All in all, this was a wonderful property and an amazing experience.

Almost Perfect Experience
This is a beautiful property and Len the owner of the property is wonderful and I would recommend anyone to stay here but there were some highs and lows from my experience. Transportation: I chose this property for it was on the northern side of the island I did not plan on spending so much money on taxis to get around even though the taxi driver Eddie is wonderful! Other taxis we used continuously complained about difficulties coming up the gravel road to the property. The road does have steep turns and hills but if you drive carefully you can make it. One taxis driver made us walk to the end of the road with all of our belongings! To Len I would suggest looking into getting the road paved that leads up to the property. For guests I would recommend preparing to walk to meet taxis or only utilizing Eddie. Conditions of the property: The property was very clean no complaints here. There were issues with the electricity, majority of the outlets did not work and the pool light outside did not work so it was difficult to swim at night. The house manager informed us that Len would be replacing the pool light. Len informed me that there were only two American outlets so I brought outlet converters but majority of the outlets did not work in the house so the six of us still had to share the two American outlets in the house. Please prepare to be HOT there is no central air. There are fans but no way enough to combat the heat. Again, Len informed me of this but I honestly thought it would be fine with the fans but no I’m glad we were gone majority of the day. At night it is a little better. I would definitely recommend central heating and air or fix the outlets so more fans can be put in all the rooms. Insects/Wildlife/MOSQUITOES: Ok again Len informed us beforehand BUT we were no way prepared. This is by far my worst experience with insects and wildlife. First there is a cat, we named him Felix. He found his way in house we had to ensure we closed every door behind us. Other guests must feed him that’s why he stays around, we did not. It got annoying trying to keep him away. The insects are all over so just keep your belongings off the floor. The Mosquitos is what made my experience miserable! Again I came prepared because I was informed beforehand but bug spray didn’t work! NOTHING WORKED! Len had supplies but majority was empty from previous guests usage. I had an allergic reaction to the mosquitos and still suffering almost a month later.

Beautiful villa with stunning Views! Len was always on top of everything and provided all the information we needed. The villa is huge, with private pool and unique Views to Pigeon Island. Rodney Bay is only 5 min drive when you can choose from any type of restaurant. Velda, the housekeeper, is so sweet and was very accomodating. If you are looking to experience the real St Lucia lifestyle, this is the place!

Location, location, location. This property is in a great location near Rodney Bay! The view is absolutely phenomenal. Further, Eddie (driver) and Velda (housekeeper) were amazing! I simply can't say enough about their hospitality throughout our stay. They were both incredibly responsive and helpful. That said, beware there's no AC; however, fans are in each of the bedrooms for circulation. I didn't mind but others in my group favored AC. All in all, it was good value for money.

Perfect getaway
Our group of 4 absolutely loved Villa Zandoli. The home is large, the landscaping is gorgeous, the kitchen is very well-equipped, and the pool is perfection! Due to timing (COVID), we spent almost the entire time at the Villa, and we didn't mind that one bit. We loved lounging, relaxing, swimming, playing dice, and cooking our own meals with the groceries we had delivered. Just like other guests, we cannot say enough about Velda. Velda was so wonderful to us, we felt like she was a part of our family by the time we left. She and Len will help you with anything you could possibly need. We had dinner at Matthew's a couple times and the food and service was fantastic. Highly recommended. The Villa has a detached apartment that we didn't use, but it's super cute! The laundry space is outside of the apartment, and it was SO nice to have a washing machine on-site! The two master suites have HUGE bathrooms with open-air showers that are just dreamy! We used drivers, as getting a rental car was not allowed. We loved having the drivers so we could sight-see to and from the airport. Lastly, the owner Len is lovely to work with. She is very responsive and helped us with every single thing we could've possibly needed or wanted. Thank you for everything Len, we hope to come back again soon!

I must admit my family and I were skeptical of the property when we first approached Bamboo Road. The ride was bumpy and seemed hazardous but once we reached the top that was all forgotten! Zandoli was beautiful! The open floor plan, the spacious suites, the crystal clear pool and the breathtaking views. Velda has the villa spotless. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and an awesome tour guide. Our host Len was always available and super responsive even though there was a six hour time difference between us. We will definitely visit over and over again and Zandoli will always be our choice! MARVELOUS ZANDOLI!!

The property is beautiful and the owner, Lem, was wonderful to communicate with. I appreciate her responsiveness before, during and after our booking of her home. My family of 4 enjoyed our stay; however; we would have done things a little different if we had known a little more about St. Lucia. Pros - home is absolutely beautiful and has a lot of character. The outside living space is great and where we spent a lot of our time. The views are amazing! The master bedrooms on the top floor were great and the bathrooms were amazing. We loved the open air showers. We did not use the lower level. Cons - The drive to the house is very rough, but we knew that going into it. Lem was very upfront about the drive and there is nothing she can do about that. While the drive to the house is rough it is worth it for the views which are amazing!! The walk to the beach is longer than what we anticipated and unfortunately it had rained a lot so we were told that we should not walk to the beach due to all the mud. Plus, the beach chairs and portable cooler were broken so we weren't able to use them. I shared this with Lem and she apologized and said she'd take care of it for the next guests. No air condition - We knew this before we rented the home and thought we would be ok, but we did not anticipate the number of bugs and birds that would fly into the house. You do get use to it, but it was something we hadn't experienced in the past. There were a lot of beetles and unfortunately they took over the pool at night. The filter wasn't working the best during our stay, but Lem had someone come to ensure everything was working ok. I would recommend adding a few more portable fans for the home. Even though I've listed some cons of our trip I would still recommend this house. The island of St. Lucia is beautiful and there is a lot to do. We've rented many homes from VRBO and Lem is definitely a great owner. She is quick to respond and was honest in the information she provided. The pros of the villa outweigh the cons.

I've stayed in many VRBO properties around the world....and Zandoli was absolutely the best property I've ever utilized. Hands down. It is absolutely unique. Len was the consummate professional in arranging our stay -- very punctual, informative and pleasant. She supplied us (my wife and I) with very detailed information on the home, the surrounding areas and attractions of interest. The maid was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. The pictures of this home on VRBO do not do it justice -- it's so much more than pictures can adequately convey. We were able to utilize a secure back gate on the property to walk down to Sandals and the local beach (which has fantastic beachside small restaurants). I would highly recommend utilizing Chris (her recommended driver) for any and all of your travels. Chris picked us up from a Sandals property and delivered us to Zandoli, after a brief stop at a local grocery store for provisions, and took us to the property and was extremely gracious. I inquired about seeing some of the island the following day and he stated "no problem, mon". And he certainly delivered. We had a 7-hour tour of some of the most beautiful attractions on the island. We went to local eateries (not tourist attractions) for a leisurely lunch and a cocktail. We went to the mud baths, some fantastic overlooks, we sampled local banana rum (and ketchup....yes, banana ketchup), we viewed the rain forest with a beautiful waterfall and we were able to make it back in time to grill and chill by the pool at Zandoli. The pool is fantastic, with breathtaking views, and VERY secluded. We asked Chris to take us back to the airport the next day...and it was a beautiful ride, with another leisurely lunch and cocktail on the way. I can't say enough good things about Zandoli. Seriously. We will definitely be taking friends and family back to this beautiful home in the near future!

Fantastic villa and views!
Three of us stayed at the villa for 6 nights. We only used the bedrooms on the top floor and it was great to all have so much space. The views are spectacular and we are all missing waking up to them. We spent a lot of time on the top deck and by the pool making the most of the scenery. The kitchen is very well equipped, and we could not have wanted for anything else. Although we spent most of the time outside, the lounge and dining room deserves a mention as this is also a fantastic space. The only negative is the road but this was clear when we booked. We used a local taxi guy Chris to drive us out and about - he was great and picked us up from the front door. Len was a great host, she always responded quickly and went above and beyond helping us out. Would highly recommend!

Best view on the island!
Our family of four spent four fabulous nights at Zandoli! Our favorite was the view from the covered deck every morning, birds chirping, waves crashing and leaves rusting in the wind, it was truly an idealic way to start each day! I highly recommend Zandoli for a relaxing, away from it all, family vacation! There was plenty of room for our family to roam! We walked to the beach at Sandals and hiked at Pigeon Island. We explored Rodney Bay and spent four additional nights in Marigot Bay. The road to Zandoli is an adventure, a 4x4 is necessary, but when you arrive, the privacy and beauty of Zandoli is breathtaking!
