"We so much enjoyed our stay at Casa Jaguar and Tortuguero. Cristina was most helpful and accommodating. Casa Jaguar is nice and clean and surprisingly quiet at night, yet right next to yhe village. We will absolutely stay here again. "

We went on the night hike and canoe tours with P&K Tours, and it was convenient to start at thr same place instead of meetinf up in the village or at the dock. "The staff is very nice. Book some tours through their partner agency because they have friendly and knowledgeable guides. A few friendly cats in the area, buy some whiskers from the grocery store and make some friends. Sloths in the tree outside. The beach is a few feet away if that’s your thing as well, very shallow water but a refreshing dip. The jungle park is just down the street, 6km out and back close to the beach with some good wildlife. Friendly locals, probably a bit crowded during busy season, but all good vibes. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants but they all have similar menus, not the greatest cuisine but good enough. "

"This place is wonderful, a true relic of a simpler time. Beautiful property, with plants, birds, and a calm inviting atmosphere. The folks working are absolutely kind and hard working. The tipico breakfast was delicious and fajitas we tried one night were amazing! It is sad the city has grown around this gem! But we are so happy it is being kept up and beautiful! "
