"Borgo San Pietro is in the charming Tuscan hilltop town of Agnone. We loved being in the historic district and were able to walk everywhere. The hostess, Valentina, was so helpful and always available--she even scheduled a tour in English for us at the Marinelli Bell Foundry. The views from our room were amazing! Be prepared to walk uphill on old Roman streets, some cobblestone. The local residents were all friendly and helpful, especially the Town Hall staff helping us with geneology...

"Lovely Abruzzo location overlooking Bomba. The room is private and quiet and a nice self-service kitchen. The hosts are very responsive and friendly. The features are basic but in very good condition and clean. Navigation should be during daylight and from Bomba and Zingaro. Pennadomo is a longer drive and road conditions variable. Warm in August but cools enough at night to sleep. "

"Just fabulous views to the mountains and over the rooftops from our top floor (3rd floor) apartment and the shared terrace! Location is perfect in the middle of town, close and walk-able to the couple of cafes and nearby restaurant. The property is more like a hotel, just without an onsite concierge. Rooms have tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge only. It's very well run and the assistance was excellent through all stages of booking, check-in and for any questions we had. "

"We love this charming hotel built into medieval stone and very close to the Maiella mountains! Staff were excellent esp Eugene who can converse in English well, very generous of his time and provided excellent service throughout as well as Petra who was so funny and kind - both made the pleasant stay even better! "Nice, modern hotel. Friendly staff. We were there in the winter. The very high heater pumped lots of warm air, loudly, into the top of the room, which didn't quite ever make it down to the bed where we were. We were able to get a very warm blanket from the front desk eventually, and got some sleep. I'm sure it's fine in the summer."
