"I had the worst experience with a host. After I booked and paid through Vrbo, for 48 nights for 14 persons, the owner asked for an additional payment of 42% of the price. I thought it is unbelievable. I did not accept this, I wanted to cancel. After some days of messaging, when the emergency state was imposed in France and she realized she will not get other guests, she accepted my offer to pay a small additional amount and finalized the booking. "We spent a very relaxing week here. The pool was great for the kids, the small pool table / table football got lots of use and the house was really comfy, well equipped and the air con was much appreciated! It’s also easy enough to get into Paris for a day trip which was great. Celine and Mathieu are amazing hosts, there’s so much provided to make your stay a success and nothing was too much trouble for them. What a great stay, would highly recommend. "

"Really nice house in a peaceful scenic location. Very rustic, French house. Gardens are really nice with outdoor eating areas, seating, hammocks and ping pong. Location is great for catching a train from Vernon to various places - we traveled to Rouen and Paris. Laurent as host is very pleasant, relaxed and helpful!"

"A great property that has everything you need: a well-equipped kitchen, great beds, a lot of room and most of all: it gives you that feeling of nobility. The gardens are great, with garden furniture and the ability to always find a quiet spot. Because quiet it is in the hamlet of Chapelle-du-Bois-des-Faulx. better than expected

"Better than we expected, just needed this hotel to sleep for a few hours while on the road. There was a fridge and microwave which was perfect for us as we had milk for our 1 year old. Bed was big and comfortable. Clean sheets, towels and soap in the bathroom. Self check-in was fine even at midnight. We had low expectations due to the price, but were pleasantly surprised in the end - this is just a roadside hotel, so it's not luxury but we had a good night's sleep! "
