"The room I picked with the picture of the toilet next to the sink turned out to be a dated room with a pretty hard bed and a bit musty smell. The folks thought I would be happier with one of their updated rooms (the one with the room that shows a toilet with a phone next to it and a glass door). "Great stay at HaiKou Westin. Its near to lots of city flagship attraction by car. Easy to get a taxi from this hotel and its usually a 10min ride. The hotel is by the century bridge and park which makes it a nice place for evening stroll and chillax dinning place are aplenty around. Room is of good size with the amenities as expected of Westin- type hotel."

"Poor service level - this hotel do not help to arrange for taxis. We were told by the staff that Conifer Garden Hotel did not offer such service. The hotel didnt trust their guests. We were told to top-up our room deposit so as to charge one of the meal (only amounting to S$100) to our room. "The hotel is comfortable and takes care of little details evident in how the room was designed and amenities provided. For eg, light switches are conveniently located, with 2 toilet door openings with one near the bed and you don’t need to find your way in the dark. The sink has 2 taps to accommodate 2 persons. There is also a weighing scale, useful if you need to check the weight, including your luggage. You scan the key card to enter the room and there is zero failure rate unlike those cards...

"what attracted us to this hotel was the pool and the hot spring, the two could be done with a good scrub, the hotel its self is a bit shabby, the room service could be a lot better, food not to bad but a bit pricey not excellent but as far as Chinese hotels go it was a pleasant enough stay."
