The hotel is attached to the Hakodate train station, but also within walking distance from many tourist attractions. The view from our room was spectacular, overlooking the bay. The hotel and its amenities appear to be new and in great condition.

Good, solid hotel. Right next to the JR Hakodate Station. Gift Shop, 7-11, plus a few restaurants in the station. There isn’t much to do in Hakodate, 2 nights should be enough. No bathtub in the room. Shower stall, separate toilet and sink. There is a public bathhouse on property. Also a lounge with nice views. Very near the ocean. Seafood lovers paradise, if you like raw seafood.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at JR Inn Hakodate! The location is unbeatable, right next to Hakodate Station, making it super convenient for exploring the city and catching the morning market just a short walk away. The rooms were spotless, modern, and surprisingly spacious, with comfy beds that ensured a great night’s sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to help with recommendations and directions. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—fresh, varied, and packed with local Hokkaido specialties. The free onsen-style bath was a relaxing treat after a day of sightseeing. Overall, fantastic value for money and a perfect base for enjoying Hakodate. Highly recommend!

Incredible choice in Hakodate

During my month's stay in Japan, JR Inn Hakodate was one of the highlights during my trip. Beyond my expectations. The room was modern and spacious, great view over the train tracks and wonderful public bath on the high floor. Perfectly located side by side the JR station. Very convenient. Would stay again.

Just next to JR station, few minutes walk to morning market. Location is perfect. Some of the rooms face the train station, very good view especially in snow. Public bath is good for relaxing. Room is in decent size.

Excellent location and service

excellent location, literally just behind Hakodate station directly connect with clear sign. staff were great, room are small but functional and clean, they provided pillows and amentities in the lobby if you need extras.
