Through the grand original front door into a beautiful tiled Entrance Hall leading to the Master Bedroom, stairs up to the 1st floor and through to the kitchen, dining and living room. -
The stylish kitchen has solid stone floors, oak worktops, stone inglenook with range cooker and exposed stone breakfast bar complete with wine fridge. It is fully equipped for all your catering needs, with additional freezer and dishwasher in the utility room off the kitchen. Here you will also find the downstairs cloakroom. The dining room allows space for all 14 guest to enjoy their meal around the table while taking in the views of the countryside to the rear. There is plenty of space to relax in both the living room and snug, both of which contain comfy seating, log burning stoves and TV. Bridge End House also features its very own boot room with separate entrance, perfect for when you return with muddy feet and paws from your adventures. Dog crate and towels are provided. All of the ground floor has underfloor heating, except the section in and around the dog crate. To the left of the boot room entrance, you will find the laundry room which includes a washing machine, tumble dryer and WC, perfect for storing fishing rods, wader and sports equipment. The master bedroom is located on the ground floor for easy access for those with mobility issues and boasts a beautiful mahogany 4 poster bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. -
On the 1st floor there are 5 double bedrooms and 1 twin room, 5 of which have original decorative fireplaces. All rooms are light and spacious with views of the countryside or river and space for storing clothes. The main bathroom had a shower over the beautiful roll top bath featuring clawed feet as well as a traditional high level cistern toilet. The second bathroom has a fully enclosed shower cubicle.

Bridge End House is set on the Featherstone Estate set on the banks of the South Tyne River in view of Featherstone Castle. Perfect for Salmon Fishing on the Private River Bank, Wild Swimming, Dog Walking and Picnics. The house is linked by a footpath to the South Tyne Trail which can take you towards Slaggyford and Alston (the highest market Town in the England) or in the opposite direction to Haltwhistle known as the Centre of Britain.
Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles, and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
Haltwhistle town centre has a great selection of shops including small supermarkets, butchers, chemist, antique shop, florist, solicitors, estate agents, building society, post office van, library, sports centre and swimming pool, a cottage hospital and doctors’ surgery. There is also a good selection of take away food venues, cafes, local Inns and restaurants.
Haltwhistle prides itself on being the 'Centre of Britain', this small market town is well served by a range of local shops, transport links and excellent pubs. There are 3 castles within a few miles of Haltwhistle; Blenkinsopp and Bellister are ruins, but the 14th Century Thirlwall Castle is well-preserved and worth a visit. Five miles away are the Roman Forts of Housteads and the Vindolanda site, the best-preserved Roman camps on Hadrian's Wall.
Haltwhistle is situated only a few miles from Hexham and can be reached easily by road or rail and is ideal for exploring the Northumberland coast and the National Park. The historic market town of Hexham, dominated by its majestic abbey, offers an abundance of amenities only 12 miles east or travel an extra 20 minutes to sample the vibrant city of Newcastle or try a little retail therapy at the world-renowned Metro Centre or Eldon Square.
The Cumbrian and Scottish borders are close by; Carlisle is only 25 miles west, therefore making it a superb base for those seeking to explore the historic charms of Northumberland coupled with the magnificent Lakeland Fells and Gretna lies 28miles away where you can easily explore the beautiful West Coast and its pretty seaside villages.
