Second time i stayed here. It has everything you need, clean room, basic bathroom , fast check in and out, close to the metro and walking distance to the train station, the place is huge ,location not very pretty but hey ,I don’t complain. We paid around half the money compared to other hotels. Will def.come again.

Nice for what we paid!
We stayed in a family room. Twinbed plus bunk bed, shower plus toilet. It was 23-25 degrees outside but inside it was 30... no ventilation or air con. But we only paid 1000 kr per night so its fine. I would like to tell the manager rhat they need more people in the recetion at check in. Too long waiting time. The selfcheck in did not work. The people working in the reception was nice.

It’s a very average hostel…beds are uncomfortable, it could be cleaner. My door to the bathroom was chipped and marks all over the walls. Very dusty, random hairs on my towels. The whole area around Berliner tor and the hostel is a bit dingy, lots of homeless lying in the street all day. Doesn’t feel safe.

The room was dirty and on one of the beds the old sheets was still on, the hairdryer didn’t work, and one night the guards told us to be quite, even though we hardly made any noise.

Very bad
No ac, fridge, microwave in room. You can only open the window and a lot of mosquito. No free locker through out the hotel. Only the paid one for 4euro. The luggage room can be accessed by anyone, very unsafe and I need to carry the PC whole day. Very noisy the streets around and the room is small, you can seat on the toilet bowl to brush your teeth, or else you will bump your head.

Positives - cheap, 20 min walk from station - though if you're leaving during the night, be aware make a wrong turn and you'll walk through the red light district where gangs of males loiter!! Negatives - NOT a backpacker hostel, be warned, just a hostel - shouldn't really be on travel sites. No secure place to store your stuff - at least not large enough for backpack/suitcase. People running around the building in the middle of the night. I'd pre-booked a mix dorm having used these in Poland, Austria etc (diff company) - got to the dorm a middle aged man, got up from his bunk and started yelling at me NO WOMEN!! til I left the room (cos you know we plant eggs in men's brains whilst they sleep!!) the next room I was put in - a female dorm for 6, had one occupant only (even though this very website said all female dorms were booked) she'd been there for a while cos all her stuff was everywhere and it was like sleeping on a mate's couch. 12 floors with 2 dodgy lifts - I gave up and went back to the station at 3am, felt safer (hence finding out about the red light district!. You'll see ads in Germany trying to promote this chain as somewhere to stay - DO NOT USE!!
