The house has everything you could ever need in the kitchen. No need to take beach chairs, floats masks, towels, snorkels or anything. Jack has it all covered, as well as providing excellent recommendations. Check in was super easy and he checked on us often. Loved that we had Netflix, Amazon and plenty of tv options at night too. I can’t say enough about this rental or the Exumas. We will definitely be back!!!

This property checks all the boxes! Starting with the booking process and initial communication, it’s like no other. Arrival was welcoming, smooth and informative. The house is warm and comfortable with plenty of seating and yummy blankets to snuggle with. The kitchen was absolutely dreamy with everything you need if you are an executive chef or a microwave type of food preparer! The beds are so comfy and the linens were plush and plentiful. The outside is just as exquisite, with a pool that was clean and equipped with a number of floats. My favorite was the private beach and dock with tons of kayaks! We saw sea turtles during one of our adventures. If you are looking for wonderful place to stay, look no further! So grateful for an outstanding host that checked in every day to make sure we didn’t need anything!

The house is so spacious and the kitchen had everything you needed, including spices. Jack is a very attentive host. He provided suggestions/options of things to do. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check out!

Thanksgiving beach vacation

The house was perfect, tons of space for our family vacation(4 adults & 5 kids). Property manager and owner were very welcoming and responsive. Views from the back deck were amazing. Everyone loved kayaking off the beach at the house.

Great First Time Exuma Stay

Loved staying at Bahama Island House! Had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Loved having the kayaks and pool floats, as well as a very fully stocked kitchen. One of the most responsive and helpful hosts I have interacted with which helped us prepare for our trip and make the most of it. Definitely need a car since it's a bit of a drive to get to any stores or restaurants.

Perfect stay for our girls trip!

We loved our stay at the Bahama Island House. The host was in touch with us for weeks leading up to our trip helping answer questions about the island, transportation and getting us in touch with local contacts. The check in process was smooth and the house was super clean. Plenty of towels and linens and a well stocked kitchen. The house is exactly as shown in the listing but the view is even more beautiful! The pool was well maintained and we were even able to take the kayaks out to a national park. 10/10 home and would recommend for any group!

winter getaway

Location of the house great, super private. View is of the interior not the open ocean, looking toward bonefish flats. This was a fun change for us. The pool, dock, decks, and outdoor spaces were well taken care of. The pool was also fully functioning and very clear which seems to be rare in exuma. The interior was well laid out. The only knock is the bathrooms are pretty tight quarters with both jack and jill doors opening in to them.

Absolutely incredible views! The house was beautiful and very clean. The property manager Luke met us when we arrived which was very refreshing! He showed us the property and told us the places for groceries, dining out, boat rentals etc.. This property came with new kayaks and paddle boards too! Love love this property and will definitely be back!

Paradise

We stayed two weeks at this property. You NEED two weeks, if possible, to enjoy the Exumas. Bonefish were just outside the door if you are interested in flyfishing. The view is amazing. The house itself has everything possible to make your vacation enjoyable. We spent most nights cooking as the view was awesome. We had a couple of hiccups which Jack and his crew were instantly responsive. Amazing! Tropic of Cancer really close by as well as Santana’s!! We love the Exumas and this was our sixth time visiting. Loved the house and location. We will be back

Family Beach Vacation

The views from this house are incredible. We had a fabulous time with my parents and our two children. There is plenty of space for all of us. We enjoyed all of the thoughtful amenities and we definitely would choose this home again. Forbes beach was great and all the recommendations of the owner were spot on. You won’t be disappointed when you book this wonderful place.

Excellent place to stay!!!

Had a great stay at the Bahama Island House. The place was clean...kitchen had all the stuff you need to cook, bathrooms were clean with toiletries, beds & pillows were comfortable. Outside space was private, clean & secluded. We felt like we were literally the only ones there! Enjoyed kyacking & Theo helped us out with a boat! Jack, ( the owner), was so helpful & kind. He sent us so much information that we needed. The locals are so kind also. Had a great stay! Will definitely be planning another stay here. Thank you Jack for everything! It was wonderful!!!

Amazing vacation!

Our family had the most amazing vacation! Exuma is beyond fabulous, but so was the Bahama Island House. Check-in was smooth, the house was immaculate, the pool was perfect! But the view was probably our favorite part. We used the kayaks almost daily for exploring. The kitchen had everything you need to cook meals. Jack and his team were super helpful with suggestions of places to go and things to do. We can't wait to go back and would definitely stay in this house again!

Summer 2024

This was our first time to the island and we loved it. It was really nice being close to all the beaches on little Exuma. My kids loved having the pool to come back to at the end of the day after exploring. The house was very well equipped and any question we had was answered. We were provided with so much valuable information before even checking in which helped a ton with planning! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Home

Our family enjoyed staying in this gorgeous home! We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed! The blender was broken and Luke delivered a new one the next day! The open living space over looking the beautiful water was just what we needed after a Long Beach day! We loved being able to use the kayaks to visit "The Cut"!

First trip to the Bahamas

Our family had an amazing week at The Bahama Island House, the house and location surpassed all our expectations. The kids loved the pool and feeding the fish off the end of the dock. You can’t beat the location- we loved being away from the noise of town and the view never gets old. The house was clean, plenty of room for everyone, a well stocked kitchen- really no reason to leave! Jack and his crew are above and beyond helpful with great communication. We can’t wait to return.

This is a MUST STAY!!

Jack's place, The Bahama Island House, is a must. His rental was clean, spacious, and with a beautiful view of the bay. Jack and Luke communicated great throughout the entire stay making sure we were doing well, enjoying ourselves, and making sure we had everything we needed. He even supplied an entire list of great local restaurants, sights, and must-do's. The accommodations were great. We stopped by the butcher shop and grocery store to pick up some food for the week and enjoyed the home. The rental providing kayaks was great. The kayaking into the bay was absolutely amazing. We even had a private in-house massage by one of their recommended masseuse, which was great. We would all recommend Jack's rental and would definitely stay again!! 10/10!!

The house is beautiful, with a large living area and a nice view. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, modern appliances, water fountain…etc. We enjoyed canoeing around (there are 12 canoes accessible right down the house), nice swimming pool and well designed external showers. The bedrooms are confortable. There’s enough space to park several cars in front of the house. Adding to the perfectly designed house, John is a very nice host, very responsive to our needs and sharing useful tips. It’s a 5 stars rental !

Guys Fishing Trip

We had a blast fishing in the Exumas for our annual guys fishing trip. The house has everything we needed to make the trip a success. We took the kayaks out and did some snorkeling in front of the house. The house was very clean and the pool was refreshing after a day on the ocean. I have stayed in lots of VRBOs and I can say that Jack is the best host I’ve ever had. He was extremely responsive, gave great recommendations, and was very helpful in making our trip a success. Would highly recommend this property!!

Stunning sunsets and beautiful water views

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Used the kayaks daily. The dock was perfect for renting jet skis. House was clean, well furnished and equipped. Enjoyed the pool and deck. Fantastic communication from the owner and property manager, before and during our stay. Only downside was the no-see-ums (bugs) at night. Limited our time outdoors after the sunset. Will definitely consider returning.

Great Spring Break!!!

The adults & kids had a great time staying at The Bahama Island House. From the time of booking & throughout our stay communication was outstanding. Jack & his team were very responsive to anything we needed & were very helpful as it related to suggestions / recommendations. The house was loaded with everything you need - kitchen supplies, coolers, beach chairs, snorkling gear, life jackets, kayaks & more. The water access & having a dock made the boat & jet ski rental a lot of fun. Being able to explore places like Stocking Island & Sand Bars via boat / ski made the Exuma experience that much better.

Best Stay by far!

We have been to Exuma over a handful of times and Bahama Island House is are favorite stay by far. The home is fully equipped. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook, bake, or grill. The bathrooms are stocked with toiletries. The bedrooms have smart TVs and comfy beds (kings for the adults and a bunk room for the kids). The living room couch is so comfortable to unwind, after a day of adventuring. The house came with beach chairs,towels, snorkel gear, coolers, life jackets, kayaks and even kid kayaks.

Spectacular Property in the Real Bahamas

What a fantastic home! We have visited several areas of the Bahamas, and prefer to stay “off the beaten path” - and this home delivers the best of all worlds! About a 30 drive from the airport, with great local restaurants close by and the best beaches - that we had all to ourselves! The kayaks are topline, we kayaked daily through the lazy River - what a treat! It’s surreal. And the house itself, is fantastic - from the great layout, to the chef’s kitchen to the big beautiful family area with priceless views - can’t beat it! Thank you Jack and team, can’t wait to come back.
