"I truly enjoyed my stay at The Soco Hotel. Even though this was a solo trip , I never once felt alone. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and the views were breathtaking. The cleaning staff also decorated my room for my birthday which was beautiful!!! "I was really reluctant after reading all the bad reviews but I booked it anyway because I wanted a big pool area. Well I was pleasantly surprised. It was no where near as bad as the reviews made it sound. It definitely had one of the beach areas. The pool was large. Yes it is very dated but a lot of hotels in Barbados are. The jacuzzi did not work and I wish I had known that before I booked it. They gave me a credit but I was charged so taxes they stated were shown on Expedia. The location of the hotel was perfect walking distance to the (less then 1.5m) Gap nightlife. Lots of restaurants even closer."

"Hotel is set in beautiful well kept grounds. Staff are friendly and attentive, rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Good breakfast daily meals generally good, with excellent table service even if food service is a little slow. Pool area is lovely and pool bar service good with a good choice of drinks available. Only issue was water temperature in room could’ve been warmer and more pressure to shower, this was also noted by housekeeping. Would stay again and recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing holiday."
