Fall Getaway
The property is located on a quiet, beautiful lake. We loved sitting on the dock to look at the stars and to watch the sun rise. The home is well stocked and has some thoughtful touches that made it extra special (a hammock, a portable speaker, life jackets, etc.).

Perfect lakeside cabin for a getaway!!
Great cabin. Had everything we needed. Comfy bed & everything was well stocked. Lakefront room was so perfect to watch the waterfowl on the lake and we watched the ice go out of the lake. First time to this part of Wisconsin. Absolutely gorgeous!! I highly recommend this cabin for the views, location, and comfort.

Amazing Location with Great Views!
My friend and I had a wonderful time staying at this property. We got a bit of rain, so the screened in porch was perfect! I was also able to bring my pup, and she absolutely loved wading out into the water and chasing chipmunks. Thank you!

Cute Cabin
Pictures made it seem like there were no neighbors but they are actually pretty close. No one was up here at the time so wasn't to big of a worry.

Awesome lake
We had lots of fun boating on Nelson Lake. Cabin had nice furnishings and we really appreciated a supportive mattress in master. Wish we’d have brought a hammock. Only critique is picnic table could use a power wash. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us and being per friendly!

cosy cabin for our winter retreat
We spent four days tucked in this charming "vintage" cabin, situated on a beautiful lake mid-March. During our stay we snowshoed to the Big Island, roughly a mile from the away. Thanks to fresh snow, we snowshoed and x-country skied some of the numerous trails around Hayward. The cabin is small, but it was perfect for our needs and was well stocked with supplies. Everything was clean and well organized. We received at least 12" of snow during our stay, and the owner was prompt about plowing out the long driveway. A great winter getaway that provided a place to rest.

great location, comfortable cabin for family of 3 and dog
Awesome place for a small family. Great setup for kids with the bunk/trundle beds. Literally feet from the lake. Amazing stargazing at night. Simple vibe for a getaway from life - Just enough of what you need (kitchen utensils, cooking space, TV, seating, etc) and nothing you don’t. We had some minor issues with drips from the ceiling as the foot+ base of snow melted on the roof. The property manager responded quickly and took care of things as needed. Assuming roof repairs, we would definitely go back!

Liked: Listing accuracy
Non operational fireplace
Had picked property for the fireplace. Wasn’t until after booking confirmed there was a note fireplace was non operational. Very disappointing. Cleaning fees quite high for property. Was clean, comfortable queen bed.

Basic and has potential
I’ve been using VRBO/Home Alone for close to 20 years, so lots of properties. Let’s say Ok but needs some attention. The front storm door just won’t stay shut unless locked, cable tv is in description of cabin but Hulu (not live) is what’s on, Normally don’t care except after dark or if it’s raining and it was and it’s still hockey season (when I contacted owner to ask I got no response). It’s way past time to change that shower curtain liner!! Also thought bath toiletries were supposed to have been included?? Thankfully there was a dryer available bc our bathmats were extremely wet when we arrived. The grass really needs mowed! Paddle boat at waters edge was nearly submerged and full of green water, it was unusable. It just seemed liked no one was really ready for us to visit! Check in and out was easy.

Great stay
First time with a VRBO. Seamless check in. Had a small bacon frying incident that set of smoke detector. Propery manager texted to find out if things were okay. Yup. Not used to electric stovetops. Only question is to potability of water. A sign in the property says plates and utensils are not sanitized and gives a recommendation as to how to do this. Unsure if this is a COVID related proceedure, drinking and rinse water, or just a department of health requirement. Either way no issues. Very cool coffee mugs. Very enjoyable albeit too short of a stay.

Nice little cabin
The cabin was nice, we hoped to fish the lake but after arriving we learned that the lake is drained down 4 feet starting in September (not sure if this is yearly) so we were unable to launch our boat. We did find another lake close by to fish and found some big ones! The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals and kids loved playing with the toys they had.

Great weekend getaway!
This place is tucked away in a private area on Nelson Lake. The cabin is stocked with all amenities you would need for camping. The neighbor dogs next door can be a little noisy, but otherwise this place is perfect!

Nice for Snowmobiling
The cabin was clean and ready when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have WiFi available. Everything was as advertised, perfect for 3 people unless you have one sleeping on the couch, then you could go 4. The only complaint I have is that the ice buildup in front of the cabin caused more than one near wipeout and you couldn't open the screen door all the way due to the ice dam behind it. A minor inconvenience but something to be aware of, especially if you have someone with limited mobility staying. For trail access, you're about .5 miles from the trail on the lake. Made for a very easy connection to get on and off the snowmobile trail.
