The house is located close to Granity with bush backdrop and
sea across the road with access by a little bridge.
Beautiful native bush behind on the hills - Rata flowering in
December turning the bush red.
Many bellbirds and tui live in the trees, weka families also.
Sea life of seals, Hector Dolphin in the warmer times surfing
along the coastline.
Good for surf casting , beach stunning for walking or collecting shellfish at low tide.
Swimming in the summer when the tide is out and sea calm.
The house has the railway line at the back of the house with the
road in front, then the sea. As this is a coal mining town the train will sometimes be heading to the loading bay at the Ngakawau Complex.
Good for all railway enthusiasts, tours of the coal mine with pick up in Granity is worth booking to go on Unimog to Stockton.
The township of Millerton is worth spending time exploring, only about 8 minutes up the hill from the house with nice walks through abandoned coal mining workings like the old bath house.

A good house for motor bike enthusiasts with lock up garage plus the best area in NZ for bike touring. Buller Gorge to Karamea a stunning ride. The Coast Road also to Punakaiki is spectacular.
