Loved the proximity to the castle, shopping, and dining. The staff members were very helpful in recommending how to get to the train station. Our room layout (room #20) was a little strange and could be improved - the television is far from the bed and there is only one chair to sit on for television viewing - I think some re-arranging could make the room layout more functional. The shower drain was slow and the shower temperature would fluctuate greatly when other rooms would use their water. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the view out of our window. The breakfasts were delicious. It would be nice to be able to pour our own coffee/tea since it was sometimes difficult to find someone to take our coffee/tea order. Overall, wonderful stay!

The property is located on top of a parking garage. Bus stop right outside. We stayed in room 20. Large area for luggage but small bathroom and shower. It is not as updated as some other hotels but was always clean and the staff were very courteous and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. Comfy pillows and blankets. Best of our trip so far. The view alone from the rooftop is worth 10 stars for this place. Sitting on the rooftop eating gelato and macaroons to end the day was amazing. Also, being able to look out and open my window overlooking the cathedral side of town was amazing as well. If I ever make it back to Heidelberg, I can't imagine staying amywhere else. There were some stairs we had to carry baggage up, so be aware, but well worth it!

This hotel is at the base of the castle. There are great views of the castle from the terrace. The property is very convenient to walk around the historic area of Heidelberg. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Really neat location on top of the parking lot with beautiful views from the terrace looking up to the old castle. Especially nice at night. Good breakfast. Our room however was on the top floor and it was uncomfortably hot despite the fan.

Great hotel and location
Amazing hotel location! The bus stops in front of hotel. The funicular to the castle is the same elevator as hotel. In the heart of Heidelberg. Views are unbelievable from the room. Great breakfast included. Front desk staff were wonderful. Next day, they locked our luggage after check out to continue our sightseeing.

I’m not sure there is a better setting than this hotel sitting below the castle, near the river and at the beginning of all the restaurants and shops. Friendly staff, great breakfast and quaint and cozy rooms.
