On a motorcycle tour of Scandinavia we stayed in around 15 different hotels - this was a real favourite. It was slightly out of season, so fairly quiet even though it looks like it could handle a lot of guests comfortably (I imagine it's sometimes used for weddings). Our room was superb - very recently refurbished (still had that slight "new carpet" smell) and was finished to a very high standard. Very spacious, with a large bathroom and even a little entrance lobby. Each room has it's own door out on to a square courtyard which makes for a really nice environment - no long gloomy corridors here! The dinner is buffet style, but it's good quality, as was the breakfast. If you have time, there's a river down some steps at the back of the main building (beyond the sauna). There are several little streams and bridges so it's a lovely place to explore. Staff were all really friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely time.

De nya ullmattorna behöver dammsugas. Tar tid att få bort allt överskotts ull men svarta strumpor skall inte bli helt vita och av hur som inte bara kommer från ullmattan. Avloppet i duschen var förmodligen inte rensat på ett tag. Det luktade avlopp i badrummet. Botten av toalettstolen hade behövt en grov rengöring.

Smell

Trevliga nyrenoverade rum men alldeles för mjuka sängar. Fick problem med ryggen och kunde inte sova. Bastun bordet få en uppfräschning. Var väldigt lite vatten i bubbelpoolen så man fick halvligga för att få vatten till axlarna. Väldigt mörkt kring bubbelpoolen oxå när vi var där vid 19-tiden. Lätt att trampa snett mm. Riklig frukost men lite kalla varmrätter och även kaffet. Annars mysigt ställe.

Skøn overraskelse

Margretetorp var mit sidste stop efter en lang uge i det svenske. Det var en skøn overraskelse der mødte mig virkeligt en fantastisk gæstegivergård på højt niveau. Her skal min hustru og jeg på forlænget weekend henover foråret.
