Wake up to the Sunrise with this Five mile view up Lake Gaston. Stunning main lake waterfront home off Lizard Creek with well-appointed furniture and updated appliances. Watch the thunderstorms roll in from the screened in porch. Grill in the afternoon right off the kitchen/dining with easy access to the deck. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch or on the dock with amazing panoramic lake views and clear water. Step down into the lake right off the dock into a sandy bottom, perfect for any age to easily access. Or jump off the end of the dock into deep water for the fun loving bunch. Boat Lift is rated for 4000 lb. Tie downs available on both sides of the boathouse. Enjoy s'mores at the fire pit, or any of the many games and toys stocked in the downstairs closets. Two huge Wifi enabled Smart TV's available, sign into your Apple+, Disney+, Amazon Firestick, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Main floor provides King Master bedroom with en suite bath. Lower level has King bedroom with French Doors out to covered patio, with 2 more private Queen bedrooms and bunk bedroom with 2 sets of twin over full bunks. Garage use will be provided, use with care by adults only. Please take of our large Canoe, Stand Up Paddle Board, and kayak out on the lake and enjoy! Located within Quail Ridge Subdivision, boat ramp access, inquire about code (changes yearly). No Smoking. No Pets.
Very close proximity to Food Lion, Lake Gaston Pizza, and the restaurants on the water and live music. Marinas close by for boat and jet ski rentals. Goat Island is also a short boat ride away, for those who bring or rent a boat.

You'll find the home fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans and about 80% of what most people need.  If you need a specialty utensil or tool it might be best to bring it to avoid any hiccups to meal preparation.  The management staff can assist with any special requests and is always available to help with whatever you need!

The bathrooms are stocked with courtesy soaps and shampoos designed for quick "off the shelf" use.  Each bathroom has a roll of septic-friendly toilet tissue as a starter.  Some use more, some use less.  You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy roll provided.

A few more tid-bits...  :)
1.  Trained service animals are welcome!  Otherwise we have a strict no pets policy.  We can help arrange lodging for your pets at a local shelter during your stay if you'd like; just give us a call!

2.  The house, like 99% of all lake homes, uses a septic system.  This system is a finely balanced biological system.  Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper.  Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.

3.  Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Humminbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves.  Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats.

Nice visit to Lake Gaston
Pros: Location on Lake, layout of house, furnishings are fine. Beds are comfortable, screened in porch a big plus. Cons: only 2 1/2 baths, regular extermination needed for spiders and webs found throughout the house and garage, cleaning of house not very thorough, no gas for grill (which could use replacing - we chose not to use it) with 4 empty gas containers at the property, sheets for air mattresses provided by the house were missing, pricing too high due to above cons.

Loved our family time together
We thoroughly enjoyed this home on Lake Gaston. It was the well equipped for us to cook each meal. We had so much fun playing on the water with our friend’s boat as well as being in the water around the dock. Loved the neighborhood and easy access to their boat launch.

Lake Gaston 5 mile sunrise
Great location with plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed using the canoe, kayaks, fishing off the dock and docking the boat. Kitchen is well equipped. Two family rooms allowed for us to have kids downstairs and play. Nice quiet location and great spot on the lake. Negatives were the kitchen and bathrooms had not been cleaned. We spent the first 2 hours cleaning sticky kitchen counters and a dirty table. Primary bath had toothpaste remnants from someone brushing teeth and splatter all over the mirror. Downstairs tub had to be cleaned before use. None of the beds were made and we were unsure if blankets were clean as they were just thrown loosely on beds. The refrigerator had food left in it and had to be wiped out as well. Fortunately there is a grocery store near by to purchase cleaning supplies. Would have also been nice to have an outdoor eating area. Use caution when leaning against the porch railings as the one by kitchen area is wobbly.

Perfect location on the water
The hosts we very accommodating! We were there with our children and grandchildren. We all had a blast! Watched the sunrise and played until the sun went down. Nice house, great place to swim, boat, and fish. We will be going back.

Lovely Lake Trip
We had a group of 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 1-10. It was a very cold weekend but we had fun anyway. We would love to come back in the summer when we can use all the fun outdoor amenities but the inside of the house was great. We had enough room for everyone to both gather and have space of their own. The kids loved all the kid friendly features (bunk beds, games, toys). This is a great kid house. The doors out backe even feature safety locks so young kids can't head out to the lake on their own (a real fear with the 5-10 crowd). The property manager was extremely responsive and even came out unprompted on a Friday night to make sure the gas fireplace was working. Only a few small things were problematic (a bulb burned out on the back porch where the grill was located which we had to use a bulb from the bedroom and the oven takes forever to preheat and never reaches desired temp). But the place is also well stocked (huge first aid kit, kitchen supplies, etc.) We had a great time here and the views made it extra special even if we couldn't get out on the lake.

Great visit, great property managers
Lake Gaston is beautiful, and this property had beautiful views and private access to the lake. We had a family of 8 people who stayed in this house, which was equipped with everything a group might need for a stay. Les, the property manager, was fantastic - he truly goes above and beyond for his guests, making sure that everything is taken care of. We will definitely be back to visit!

LKG family vacation
Great property for family of 6. Property was clean and spacious. Each kid had their own room, although most bunked up in the 4 person bunk room. Kids enjoyed their own common area on lower level. Great views from dock with deep water for jumping in. Did not use boat lift but tied up to the dock. Large boat bumpers in dock storage were super helpful. Wasn't able to access community boat ramp, but NC public access only a couple of miles away and easy to use. Close to Food Lion and other shopping for quick trips. Great property and will come back!

Thanksgiving at Lake Gaston
Our extended family of 15 total stayed in 2 houses at Lake Gaston to celebrate Thanksgiving together. Our house was wonderful - as beautiful & well-furnished as advertised. The owners brought in extra tables & chairs for the house that we rented so that we could have everyone eat together for one of the meals that we shared during the holiday. They were very kind and accommodating; we would love to stay here again!

Wonderful home for memories and fun!
We had a fantastic experience at 5 Mile Sunrise with our large mixed group. We had four families, but there was plenty of room for everyone. The main lake location was absolutely perfect! We swam right off the dock every day, enjoyed all of the watersports equipment provided (SUPs, small kayaks, inflatables, tube), and easily docked the pontoon boat we rented for the week. The house was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was really well stocked for cooking (we didn't eat out due to COVID), and the pantry was well stocked as well. The beds were really comfortable and the linens and towels provided were really nice. Finally the property managers were responsive and kind. We have zero complaints and highly recommend the house!

Great stay on the lake
Beautiful property and great location. We had a great week on the lake. This was our first time to lake Gaston and we will be visiting again. We were able to rent a boat and keep it docked at the house. The weather was good enough in October to swim in the lake as well as do some great fishing. The house was spacious and everything was as expected. Close to food, hardware and liquor store for anything you forgot. Owners and property manager were easy to get a hold of for questions. Thanks so much for a great week !

Beautiful home with amazing views
This property was so clean, comfortable, and had such amazing views! The set-up is perfect to have parents upstairs and allow kids to have a space of their own downstairs. The owner and management company where so responsive and wonderful to work with! The only suggestion I would make is to invest in more water toys (Adult Kayak, new paddleboards and at least 2, life vests, etc.) Overall, this property is truly a "home away from home."

Well appointed and spacious, and you can’t beat the location on main lake yet still with calm enough waters for small children to play safely. Great Time at The Lake
We had a marvelous time at Lake Gaston. The beds here were very comfortable, as was that comfy sofa in the main room. There were lots of toys for my grandchildren to play with. The use of the paddleboard was the big hit of the week! We spent most of our time down at the boathouse. The water was clean and deep, great for jumping off the dock into the lake!

Great Family Vacation
This was the first time our entire family had been together in years. The house was perfect for a large family. It had everything we coukd ask for and more. The dock was our hangout everyday. We swam, and jumped off the dock. There was plenty of room for our boat and 2 rented jet skis. The big boys fished every morning and every night. Dinners were easy with the large grill and well equipped kitchen. We rented linens which made packing a breeze. The screened in porch was my morning retreat and the sunrises were astonishing. We loved every minute of our time here.

Quail Ridge Luxury Right on the Lake
We rented the Five Mile Sunrise property for a week in mid-July. This was our fourth summer renting a lake house on Gaston and the first for this property. The owner and property manager were responsive, great to work with, and the owner was willing to give us some extra time to make our decision to lock in the property amidst all that has been happening with COVID-19. When we arrived the house was clean, had a well-equipped kitchen, and was as beautiful as shown in the pictures. The house is upscale and very spacious which gave us plenty of room the spread out. The master suite and bath were very impressive and the assortment of beds in the other bedrooms easily accommodated the family and friends. The furniture, TVs, and internet equipment all appear relatively new and fairly high end for a rental property. The screened in porch was especially nice in the early morning and late evening. One minor inconvenience is that there are only two showers for a house that can sleep 15, one in the downstairs bathroom (4 of the 5 bedrooms are on that floor) and one upstairs off of the master. Make sure the master bath is available to some of the downstairs occupants if you have a house full like we did. Perhaps an outdoor shower could be added to the back patio to help take some of the load off of the downstairs bathroom without increasing flow to the septic system? Also, adding a second sink in the downstairs bathroom if that room is remodeled would be good. These certainly are not deal breakers for our group, but we did want to share for the owner and future guests. The boat house and dock worked out great for our family. We had two boats, my 18 ft. runabout enjoyed the boat lift and we had plenty of room to tie up my daughter’s heavier, fancy wake-surf boat beside the dock. The large dock space with its deep water saw plenty of use. Having the community boat ramp close by was another great feature. Gaston is a lovely lake with perfect water temperature for our boating and swimming activities. We do not know what next year will bring, but the family recommendation was to consider this property again. Five Mile Sunrise is a lovely home with ample space, amenities, and lake access for a wonderful vacation!

Great Family Vacation
We came to Lake Gaston for our annual family vacation. We had been to Smith Mountain Lake and were looking for something closer. We loved Lake Gaston. It was clean and way bigger then we have envisioned. The house we rented was superb in its furnishings and decor. The view was awesome and allowed for viewing of the morning sunrise. We boated, rented jet skis, played mini golf and ate at the Kitchen table. It was wonderful!
