"Front desk staff were lovely , helpful and talkative which is always a nice start , breakfast was good and easy , my only issue with my room was we were given a wheelchair friendly room so Shower , Toilet and Sink were very low down which was a bit of an issue but other than that our stay was great !! "Nice hotel, modern and well maintained. There was an issue with the first room allocated where the heating wasn't working but the duty manager was diligent in sorting us a new room and checking it over before moving us. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was good quality and adequate. Issue for us were the bar staff in the evening were a shambles. "Hotel is a great location for trips to Harry Potter, this was the reason of our trip, when booking just ask the hotel if any party's booked because if your in the Botham suite or any rooms towards the rear of the mansion house expect to be up late with music and general noise as the party marquee is located to the rear on the patio, which is not ideal if you have little ones. Drinks are mega expensive, food is fairly ok on price. "

"Overall the weekend was lovely. The staff are what made it. The main seating area is beautiful but can be draughty. The glass doors at the front door don’t really work and let a lot of cold in. The dining area is a bit of a disappointment atmosphere wise. The lighting too bright, the chairs are awful. It should be more like the red seating area which seemed to be kept for private functions. There’s a huge stove which was barely flickering, the music was also terrible. A lot of simple changes...
