"The overall stay was fine but only because we complained about the room and were immediately upgraded to a a newly renovated suite. Going forward our stay was no longer at the shizen spa but at the main Daniel hotel. We were very grateful for the upgrade because the shizen room was dark and had a direct first floor look at the pool. If you are looking for spa amenities and don't care about the room then you will be fine in the shizen. The staff was very accommodating when we wanted to...

"We had a quite dilapidated room, with staining on the ceiling, a rusted mirror, lights not working, and lots of white stained lime on the black shower floor. "

"This was the most unusual stay ever, the hotel and staff were absolutely amazing in every respect and deserve huge credit all round. The hotel is currently hosting around 1,000 displaced survivors of the 7/10 Hamas attack on Israel and we were the only tourists staying at the hotel. It was a visit I will never forget."
