"Like a Downton Abbey experience. A grand palacios hotel. Although large, it felt warm, homely and welcoming. Upgraded to a suite which was just wonderful. So comfortable, spacious yet again a homely feel. Throughly enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We were able to secure our luggage and explore York ahead of checking in . They kindly kept our luggage safely after checking out also so again we could enjoy our ambling through the streets of York. Great choices for breakfast,.Pet friendly also. This is a beautiful hotel well worth the stay."

"Enjoyed our stay, hotel was excellent with room comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also very good. Ideally located for train station and city centre. Would stay again if visiting York in future."

"This is our third visit to Quebecs and we always receive a warm welcome from the staff. It’s such a comfortable place to stay. So near everything, station, shops, bars snd restaurants. They’re is also a lovely bar to sit and relax in for a sprinkle or nightcap. I’m sure we’ll be back again. "

"Recently stayed over for a gig, we had a double en suite room it was basic but perfect for a one night stay. Price was very reasonable and discount for the multi story carpark nearby "

"For a Marriott I was a little disappointed. No coffee machine in the room, the iron leaked water into the electrical connection at the back of the iron, so very dangerous. Told reception who said they would replace it and didn't, so I physically took the iron to reception the following morning and told them to throw it in the bin, they then replaced the iron. No shoe cleaning kit in the room, just felt like a slightly posher Premier Inn."
