We have worked to make this home ready for your arrival with tasteful, clean decor and ample opportunities to do all of your favorite beach activities. Make memories while you enjoy the sun, swimming, surfing, search for shells, or just relax with your family and friends. SummerSalt offers views of the ocean with a quiet, convenient beach access just a few yards away.

Start your day with your morning coffee on the large front deck as the sun rises over the ocean. Then walk to the beach for a day of collecting shells, jumping the waves and building your very own sand creation. Then return to SummerSalt for more outdoor pleasures by lounging in your private pool with a large tanning ledge. And don't miss your chance to shower outside in a private shower with the smell of salty air. There's an outdoor gas grill in the backyard for your cooking pleasure or you could pick up some yummy seafood from a local restaurant!

SummerSalt has a fully-equipped kitchen, digital cable television, 4 flat screen televisions, high-speed wireless internet access, and many other amenities! SummerSalt is a family-friendly house with puzzles, cards, games and books available for all ages. We work to make sure you arrive with nothing to worry about. Linens are provided, beds are made, and we have some basic essentials in the cabinets so all you have to shop for is food and beverages. We take great pride in preparing the house for each guest so your arrival is abundantly pleasant and you can leave all your worries behind.

For anyone not familiar with Topsail Island and Surf City, we'll be happy to answer any questions and help you find interesting things to do. It's a quaint little beach town with something for everyone. There are golf courses nearby, jet ski and boat rentals, opportunities to learn about marine life, fishing, equipment rentals (surfboards, bikes, kayaks), shopping, craft markets, worship services, exercise classes, and more.

Great place to stay in Surf City
We had an awesome stay and loved the house. The pool feels very private. Beach access is only a few steps away. It is also close to all of the restaurants and shops in Surf City.

Wonderful Family Experience
The Surf City property was clean, family friendly, and amazing. The proximity to the beach access was convenient and the kids enjoyed a lowkey afternoon and evening swim in the pool after spending the day on the beach. The property owners were great to deal with and we have already booked our stay next year.

Perfect family getaway!
Our second summer visiting Summer Salt and it was perfect! The house is comfortable with everything you need, we didn’t have to pack a bit of beach gear! The proximity to the beach is great and an easy walk even with littles. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the restaurants and shops we visited. Our two favorite new spots were The Crab Pot for delicious food and Herring’s Outdoor Sports for shopping. We’ll be back!!

Another Amazing Family Vacation
This was our second annual family vacation at this vacation home. Trudy truly thought of everything. Our children loved the pool and the close beach access made things easy. We will continue to take our family vacations here each and every year. We are looking forward to next year!

Loved the private backyard and pool. Very short walk to a beautiful stretch of beach.
The property was just as described in the website and more. Lots of little personal touches and very nice linens. Far enough from the main hub of Surf City to seem secluded but close enough for a nice evening walk for a meal or ice cream. I would recommend this house for families, lots of sleeping space and outside living areas.

Perfect beach house
This house has it all! From linens, kitchen supplies, pool and beach toys, the private pool, and the close beach access, Trudy has truly made this house feel like a home for anyone visiting. We loved sitting on the front deck for morning coffee and hanging out watching the kids in the pool while we grilled out after a day of fun on the Island. I cant wait to visit again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location was close to places to eat and shop. The walk to the beach was close and easy while carrying our stuff. The house was clean and roomy. There is plenty of kitchen supplies, and everything needed for our stay was there, and the beds are really comfortable. The heated pool/patio area was paradise for us. Trudy was helpful throughout our stay with any help or info we needed. We will definitely stay here again.

Best little beach house ever!
What a wonderful home and amazing host. The house was spotless and decorated beautifully but still completely comfortable and relaxed. So many small details taken care of that I don't find in other rentals...paper products, coffee filters and a million other little things that make the stay so easy. Steps to the beach and a beautiful pool. Trudy is super responsive and helpful and I can't say enough good things about this place. Can't wait to go back.

SummerSalt is a great find!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SummerSalt. We had 2 boys (6 and 4) and 3 adults, and there was ample space for all of us (and could have slept more). The biggest hit was the heated pool, which kept the kids entertained for hours each day, but we also appreciated the cleanliness, tasteful decorating, proximity to the beach, attentiveness of the owners, and thoughtful attention to detail. The owner even texted me after we left to let me know that we had accidentally left something! We hope to go back!

Lovely Beach Home!!
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at this lovely home. The hosts have thought of everything and have given so much thought into all that they provide to make your stay relaxed, comfortable, and so enjoyable. We arrived to delicious goodies left for us from the hosts. The check in and check out process was very simple. It was so nice having beach toys and chairs provided, along with a wagon to make the short walk to the beach easier. We loved lounging by the pool and enjoyed relaxing on the deck. We can’t wait for our next stay in this amazing home!!!

Exactly What We Needed
We had a wonderful time at Summer Salt. The house was immaculate and up to date. We have 2 children under 4 and they had everything we needed. The pool was the perfect size with the sitting for us to sit our the children to play. They supplied everything we needed for the beach. We will be telling all of our family and friends! We are looking forward to returning next year!

It's everything you could think of, need, or want in a vacation house . Truly home away from home.. This property has everything you could possibly think of and more! Our best vaca yet!
The rental process was a breeze from start to finish. Coming from Missouri, all of the extra amenities made packing a breeze and we even left alot of things in the trunk because she thought of EVERYTHING! The heated pool was a dream on the cooler rainy few days that we had. When the skies cleared we headed to the beach with just a short walk across the street(with all of the beach towels,toys,chairs& wagon provided). Our family, with grandparents included, had the BEST time in this beautiful house. This was by far the cleanest and best stocked house we have ever had. We made so many great memories and will definitely be back!

An amazing pace to stay in a quiet little beach town
Trudy and Mark and their SummerSalt home set a new level of expectations for a beach house! We were welcomed with a nice box of delicious baked goods, a very clean house stocked with plenty of amenities and sometimes overlooked necessities, comfortable beds, an awesome saltwater and heated pool and a very short walk to the beach. There were ample towels, beach towels, beach chairs, floaties for the pool, boogie boards, skim board, sand toys, puzzles and board games, etc. Trudy and Mark have basically thought of everything. The only downside was the small shower in the upstairs which was tight, but doable. Overall, an amazing place to stay in a quiet, serene beach town.

Stunning property
A huge THANK YOU to Trudy for sharing this amazing property with us. Such great accommodations and she truly provides EVERYTHING you need. So many beach toys, wagon, umbrellas, beach towels... the list goes on and on. My boys absolutely loved the bunk room and the pool. We would definitely stay at this property again if we visit Surf City in the future. Truly was also very helpful in making restaurants recommendations as well as helping us with a mechanic (we had AC trouble on our way to NC) and gave us contact to a fantastic photographer. 😊😊😊

Loved it!!
As a group who travels together every year, this ranks up there as one of our favorite places. Trudy was a delightful hostess from our first contact. The house is just as it looks in the pictures- clean and nicely decorated. Everything we needed to cook was available and the new, larger table accommodated our group. The second refrigerator was a pleasant surprise and very useful. There were plenty of towels and linens for our group. I'm not sure which we appreciated more- the short, easy walk to the beach or the private pool. We will be back.

Perfect week!!
The house was a perfect size for our family of four not too big not too small. The kids loved having their own bathroom and bunk beds. Clean and very well decorated. Trudy has thought of everything . We accidentally locked ourselves out and Trudy and her husband were there to let us in within 15 minutes! This is the best experience we have had renting a beach house. I truly have not a single complaint . It was absolutely perfect . All the details really show how hard the owners work for their guests to have a great vacation. Thanks again!

Home away from home ❤️
What a wonderful place to call home for a little while. Mike and Trudy provide everything you can think of. Allowing you to relax and not have to worry about anything. The property was clean, perfect, beautiful, comfortable. I could go on and on.. Summersault not only met but exceeded our needs. Having remote school for my kids wasn't so bad in this wonderful place.. we will definitely be back!!!!! Wish we could have brought back the beds.. we all slept wonderfully ❤️ played countless games of Marco Polo in the pool.. relaxed and napped on the decks! I could go on and on how wonderful this place is!! Thank you so much!!
