"Unbelievably beautiful place. Great location near the border, calm and clean with onsite free car park and good internet coverage in most rooms. Please be aware that in Netherlands many venders and service providers not set up to accept Visa cards. That is either debit or credit. So, be in a position of some cash. Although there are ATM machines available in nearby towns. Have a calm treat."

"Amazingly nice.. was driving from Frankfurt to Amsterdam and stopping to see a friend in Borken. This seemed like a good option and it was. My only one critic would be better and more pillows on bed. The ones they had on ours were extremely loose and not supportive so they collapsed easily. Had to compress and roll into a ball to get any support. Outside that one small complaint, fantastic and well taken care of and the town is adorable. "

"Wir haben eine schöne Zeit in der Residence Lichtenvoorde verbracht. Die Anlage ist ruhig und hat eigentlich alles was man braucht an Infrastruktur. Es ist nur schade, dass der Park nicht groß genug ist für einen Brötchenservice oder ein Restaurant mit Frühstücksangebot. Allerdings war das Besteck bei Ankunft nicht sauber und man sollte die Silikonfugen im Bad mal erneuern. Das ist ein Aufwand von 1-2 Stunden und alle paar Jahre einfach notwendig. "

De living is echter wel klein als je er met meer dan 4 personen zou verblijven. Handig om vooraf te weten, is dat er een boiler is. Dit kan lastig zijn als je met meer dan 2 personen bent. "A lovely air conditioned room on the hottest day the Netherlands has experienced (over 40 degrees) I made full use of small but welcoming hotel pool and (ironically) the sauna. The hotel also has a small exercise room with bicycles and tread mill. Best of all, however, was the food. Some of the best food I have eaten, the chef should be congratulated. "

"While the owners were very pleasant and the bed was comfortable, the floors in the room were disgusting. Lots of dirt on the floors with areas that were sticky. The bathroom floors were tile and very slippery when exiting the shower. There is no storage in the room for your clothes and the television sits below the bed making it impossible to view. The room could also use a mirror in addition to the small mirror above the bathroom sink. The sheet was dirty but was not changed by housekeeping....
