Excellent Vacation Rental on the Creek
This place was absolutely spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Had all the amenities we needed for a four day stay including dishwashing liquid, paper towels, etc. Our host answered within minutes and helped answer any and all questions. We will definitely go back.

Soothing sound of falling water
This is a cozy little cabin about halfway between Hot Springs and Trust. With the windows open we could hear the creek. Is was very convenient for us to let the dogs out in the fenced yard. I like a shower with a hand shower head so that was a definite plus. If you will be eating all you meals in Hot Springs, as we did, it is an 8 mile drive back and forth on a curving mtn road. The smokey Mountain diner is yummy for breakfast. Would stay again.

Worked great for what we needed
We came up to Hot Springs formy husband to hike the trail. We have 2 kids under 15 months and a 13 year old dog. The selling point was the fenced in yard. It was large enough for my older daughter and dog to "explore" together, but not so big I couldn't sit on the porch and keep an eye on them. As far as homes I've VRBO'ed before this one was quite small, but was PERFECT in keeping the kiddo wrangled. The stand up shower was large. The bedroom bed is very soft...just the way I like it, but the pull out sofa bed has a harder mattress for those with a preference. It was nice to have the option. There was enough storage provided that if you like unpacking instead of living out of your suitcase, it's works well. Having the ROKU TV was very helpful at night when we let our kiddos watch TV, so it was a nice way to wind down. The kitchen is small. We did all our food prep before coming, and I'm glad we did. I would not have wanted to prepare meals. Most everything I needed was there to have been able to prepare a well rounded meal, but it would not have been my preference...I like to spread out when I cook. My only disappointment was a street light in the back yard. I was looking forward to seeing some stars. My husband pointed out that it was beneficial since the fenced in yard with the dog scent would attract wild animals would keep us safe if we need to let the dog out. Hot Springs is less than 20 min drive thru mt's roads. Overall, would stay again if we're in the area.

Creek Life Cottage.
We had a great stay. Too bad it was just for one night as we would have enjoyed being there longer and my husband wished he had brought his fishing rod. It was a perfect size for us and the fenced back yard was a plus for our dogs! Very relaxing. Owner very easy to work with and very accommodating. Thanks again!!

This home provided a safe place for me and my dog while we explored the Hot Springs area. Not too many host homes provide a fenced in yard, so this was awesome to have! The creek in the backyard has moderate rushing water with a deep pool area; however, the little knats swarming about was a bit much to sit and enjoy the creek. This may be a seasonal thing (June). The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The drive to Hot Springs took about 25 minutes (driving at speed limit or just below it). Lastly, cooking is not ideal here, but warming food on the stove top is just fine. I was hesitant to use the oven because it's gas, and I did not see proper ventilation. We went into Hot Springs to eat our meals and they were delicious!

We have stayed here many times over the past few years. We also knew the previous owners. My only suggestion would be to have an extra set of bedding for the fold out couch and pillowcases for the extra pillows. (maybe I missed the part about bringing extra for the couch) But everything was absolutely wonderful otherwise. Sonya was very quick in responding to any questions that I had.

The Creek!
Moms of teenagers needed to get away for one night. It was so perfect! The fire pit and creek were absolutely what we were looking for. The house had all the amenities and was super comfortable. Sonya was very responsive and we had no issues whatsoever. I could see it being a great place for a couple with a small dog or, like for us, just friends that needed a night off. Loved it!

Disappointed
The location was charming from the outside but we were extremely disappointed with what we found inside. The property had not been cleaned well. There was both dirt and dog hair everywhere, and piles left around the corners of furniture and rugs. We arrived very lated on a Friday night and because of the location and distance back to Asheville we felt it would be unsafe to try and drive back to the city to find a hotel so we toughed out a night. On top of all that, I have serious mold allergies and we found an outbreak of mold and mildew in the bathroom that triggered my allergies and left me with breathing troubles for some time. We contacted the property manager about these issues and they were very apologetic and refunded us the second night's stay when we informed them we would be leaving first thing in the morning and not returning. While i appreciate the partial refund, still having to pay cleaning fees etc. for a location that had clearly not been cleaned is very frustrating. We really wanted to love this place and our stay being as the location is home to two of our favorite things, hiking and fly fishing, but this location made our Valentine's Day getaway memorable in a negative way.

A Wonderful Discovery
Really nice, well appointed & comfortable - best of all - our 1 yr old Husky had a fenced yard - we humans enjoyed the creek running along edge of property. Bit of winding road to get there but no biggie...and well worth it. After 2 weeks of hiking and pushing ourselves sightseeing - it was great to use this cabin for 2 nights to relax and enjoy nearby sights. Will be back - highly recommend.

We had a beautiful stay celebrating belated Thanksgiving. Two hours in the Hot Springs fixed what ailed us and the hike to the top of Max Patch was a step into God’s country. The cabin was sweet and cozy and the backyard was perfect for the dogs to run around and get their energy out. Thank you for a wonderful holiday stay!!
