This is a unique stay if it’s your first time in Houston. You’re right in the heart of the Main Street which surrounds you with unique bars and restaurants. This hotel also offers a bar and mini eatery in the lobby. The room was simple, comfortable, and had a great vibe. The noise can be a problem if you have an early morning, but there are white noise machines in the room and it becomes super quiet when Main Street settles down.

I booked this hotel due to proximity to Minute Maid Park. Boy was that a mistake. We ended up leaving at 1 in the morning due to unrelenting yelling, profanity, blaring music and overall unsafe feeling. The homeless population heckeling my daughter and I walking to and from the hotel was also a real treat.

They don't clean the rooms, if you don't ask and you need to ask 3/4 times every day.Some day was 5pm and despite i asked several times to clean the room they came to clean around 6pm.In five days in the hotel they cleaned once. There is no amenities in the rooms such as fridge, coffee maker, even a two start hotel you can find these things. Every Thursday to Sunday the dance club nearby starts and you can't sleep till they close(2am or 3am)

The staff and everything about the place is great. The only thing that sucked was not being able to park your car, either paying for parking or getting it valeted. Also we didn't mind the noise of the club since we're a younger generation but I can see if you're older and not wanting club music playing before you sleep.

The hotel was amazing, very unique and quaint. The rooms were upgraded with techy items like USB ports on all outlets, mirrors with steam control and touch lighting, and very clean. Downtown and outside the hotel had a lot of food choices, but was a little dirty and there were a lot of homeless people. I didn’t feel unsafe necessarily but probably wouldn’t walk around after dark by myself although there were a lot of people out at night.

I enjoyed the simplicity of my stay. Super minimal and the downstairs bar area is awesome! They have a steamer instead of an iron. No ice bucket BUT all you have to do is call downstairs and they bar will have it ready for you. To top it off, they give each guest a token to get a free drink at the bar! Try it out!
