"We spent 4 nights at Hermitage lodge in the Hunter valley. We had a duplex lodge with a full kitchen, living room, separate upstairs bedroom and bathroom, and balconies on both levels. Everything was immaculate. The location was perfect for visiting the vineyards and town of Cessnock. The lodge looked out over a small vineyard with a forested backdrop. I would definitely recommend Hermitage lodge as a place to stay in the Hunter valley."

"The rooms are clean and roomy enough for overnight stay. All rooms have a small balcony, and one side looks out over the grounds and pool. There is also a tennis court for use of guests. A small continental breakfast is provided in the dining room, but the choice was small, and many items ran out early. There was only one man on duty to man the reception and all other tasks and he did his best to restock the table. There is also a bar and restaurant to be opened next week."
