"We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here"

"Location is great! 20 minutes into downtown Reykjavik and 3 minutes to the highway to serve as a base for traveling around. The location is quiet and rustic. The cottage is a bit older and needs a bit of upkeep (bedroom door doesn’t close). I agree with others who have said that paying a bit more to have a cleaner come out would be worth it. I loved the outdoor shower and hot tub. Great way to start and end the days of exploring. It’s a bit cramped if you were to have more than 2 people...

"This was a *wonderful* home to stay in for our time in Iceland. It was a hub for lots of great day trips, but there was plenty to do in the house as well -- lots of great games, a beautiful kitchen to cook and eat in, and views galore. We didn't have time to use the hot tub, but I imagine that would also have been delightful!"

"This was the best place we stayed during our recent trip to Iceland with 2 adults and 3 children. The location was very convenient to a variety of nearby attractions including Snaefellsness & Husafell, as well as to Borgarnes, the local town where we shopped for groceries at Netto. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals during our stay and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after long days of sightseeing. Definietely would return to stay here...

"This little cottage is perfect for exploring during the day and having a place to sleep at night. The unit had kids toys which our 2.5,3&4 year old loved. We had two families so one set of adults had to stay in the attached building. The area is charming and quiet. We loved the stay. The check-in process through the gate wasn’t working with our USA phones, but a kind couple behind us got us in. Not sure what the problem was. Highly recommend for two small families or one large family!"

"We rented both houses Bakki and Holt for our extended family. It was perfect. They are connected by a quick path through the woods. Great location outside of town but close enough for easy access to grocery stores and liquor store. We used this as a base to explore Snæfellsnes peninsula. Farther out on the peninsula quickly becomes very empty and hard to restock. "

"We are parents and 2 adult children. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and well thought out with all necessary needs. It is very quiet and lovely for those who are not city folks. We enjoyed many road trips from this spot on our short stay. We would certainly recommend it for exploring the west country, which is fascinating.
