"Building very large and very old so the upkeep is going to be a challenge. Couldn't turn the heating down or off in the bathroom so it was nuclear hot in the room when we entered. Had to sleep with the old sash window open. Stayed in room 52 which had no lift access, massive bathroom, ceilings really high, not many power sockets for charging your electricals, TV off to the side of the bed in front of the window which made shutting curtains a challenge. "A lovely Inn to stay in historic Hathersage. Small car park that made parking a little tricky at times. Pleasant room overlooking the car park. Bed a little uncomfortable but not a problem. Excellent food and drink in the pub. Breakfast time is limited to 8:30 to 9:30 although they did a slightly later breakfast for us on the Saturday so that my wife could do the nearby parkrun."

Comfortable room, dined in the hotel as the weather was awful and the meal was fine, breakfast was a full buffet and was excellent. Easy to get to the airport and there is a handy gas/petrol station with only a slight detour before returning the rental car. Free parking too which was good."

"Nothing wrong the hotel itself though we only slept there as had an early morning flight. Don’t use their shuttle service. Payed for a return shuttle from the airport but it was none existent one excuse after another as why it didn’t show up after waiting nearly an hour in the allocated place with 3 small, cold and hungry children After contacting them twice and complaining, they had to order a taxi for us to return and pick our car up. Will not use the hotel to stay and park again."
