"We stayed over the new year, and during the January 1st earthquake. This was our first time visiting Japan and we speak zero Japanese. We are so thankful to have stayed at this hotel with such an excellent team. We have done a lot of travel and we mean it when we say the staff at this hotel were the kindest and most supportive we have ever experienced. They had portable devices to translate and allow us to communicate, as well as a great staff member that spoke English! We had many questions...

"This hotel is in a great location. 5 minute walk to Goryu. The onsen is a nice bonus. Breakfast was great, but I would rather eat dinner around the area. There are so many great options to eat out in the area"

"we are a group of 10 peoploe staying in PENSION ARUMU, we booked 2 family house and one twin room. the twin room is in the main building and the family house is behind the main building around 2 mins walk.We parked the 2 cars just in front of the family house. the family house is a 2 story cabin, it is very new and clean.1 bedroom on the upstairs and can put 2 more futon inside the room and 2 more futon outside the bedroom. and 1 toilet on the upstairs. downstairs have a separate toilet and...

"Very clean and conveniently located property. But highly overpriced for what you get. Very basic rooms and basic amenities. Breakfast is very local/Japanese with limtited Western options. Hotel offers great discounts for skipass and rental which is great. And the Onsen option is also very nice."

"Koki and Naomi were wonderful hosts! Koki is an AMAZING chef, look forward to breakfasts and dinners everyday! Lodge is near goryu mountain, ski-in. Private onsen is amazing after a long day at the slopes!"

"Charming place with incredible staff. Made us feel at home. We missed them immediately after leaving. The location is walking distance to the lifts and some dining options. I would definitely stay there again. "
