"We loved our stay at the Hakuba Marriott! It had a great gym, the in room onsen was perfect after a day on the slopes and the staff were so friendly. It was walkable to the main drag and provides a shuttle to the ski resorts right out front. It was nice to come back and enjoy a drink at the bar after dinner. We cannot wait to stay here again!"

"Wonderful hotel close to the entrance to the alpine route. Rooms are beautifully appointed. Beds are very comfortable and have soft and hard pillows available on the bed. Onsen is clean and offers both indoor and outdoor option. Customer service is excellent. Front desk is efficient , courteous and helpful. Food at restaurant is excellent. "Stayed here for 4 nights and it was the perfect spot for skiing. Just opposite the beginner slope chair lift and only a short walk from the ski school. The staff were excellent and very welcoming, especially the man at reception. We really appreciated the buffet dinner after long days of skiing. Would definitely recommend booking a stay here. Rooms are very cosy and beds are comfy."

"I stayed here couple weeks ago, I like the environment and comfort and quiet place, the manager and staff are great and friendly, that’s the reason why I came back. The manager upgrade me to a room with Jaguzzi. Sadly is the air conditional is abit old , doesn’t cool up the room quick, but it still fine. The hotels room definitely needs a proper upgrade as there is many wear and tear and air conditional need an overhaul too. Wallpaper has to be clean as you can see some stains. "

"Shane (owner) was very accommodating and helpful, overall good guy. Everyone that works there was equally helpful and in a good mood. Awesome breakfast every morning. The lodge is a short 5 to 10 minute walk to town, and to the lifts. Would definitely stay at Alpine Lodge again. "

"Worst hotel experience I’ve ever dealt with. Unable to get to the hotel because the only road to the hotel was closed. Hotel customer service was out-sourced and I had to talk to someone out of Japan that did not know anything about the hotel or roads in the area. After about 2 hours of back-and-forth via emails, they finally provided a number to the actual hotel, but the language barrier was a challenge. They agreed to cancel the reservation and agreed to provide a full refund, however,...

"The hotel staff and people were spectacular! Breakfast was traditional Japanese style food, which may or may not suit westerners. Hotel is a bit dated and it shows. Our room was clean upon arrival; however, we encountered bugs and mosquitoes inside our 3rd floor room. This didn’t particularly bother us, but it may have an impact on other guests. "We loved everything about our stay in Sierra. The location is in the middle of stunning forest, very close to ski slopes, lovely food options are available through the day. Nothing can be better than enjoying private onsen after a day of skiing. Lovelies stuff. We will definitely be back! "

"Nice position but still a decent walk ( in ski boots ) to the slopes. I would call the accommodation above basic but definitely not luxury. Very clean and manager very helpful. Breakfast was spartan compared to other ski accommodations I've been at but after getting used to this we realised it was adequate."
