"The Colony definitely has a vibe to it. Plenty of activity in the lobby and around the pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. My particular room was awful, as it was located behind the elevator and the bathroom was tiny, with peeling wallpaper and pretty dirty overall. I had asked to get in my room early, so I think this was their way of teaching me not to do so again. Have stayed there in the past and never had an issue with a room. "It is directly across from the nicest safest beach in south Florida. Close places for quick dining and a lovely boardwalk. Staff and manager are very friendly. Stayed here twice once with friends and once with family. Love it"

"Once you arrived it felt like you were being gouged for extra fees. They have two small ropes on the beach and if you are within that you can’t bring your own food or drink. Parking they make you feel your only option is valet and won’t say you can park on the street, although limited. Pricey when dealing with the extras. Rooms are small but well equipped. Wasn’t a bad experience but felt like you paid too much. "
