I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown with my husband and daughter in a two-bed queen suite for two nights. We chose this hotel for its convenient location near our destination, as we needed to be close to the funeral home due to a recent family bereavement. Unfortunately, our stay was far from satisfactory. The room was unpleasantly, humid, and unhygienic. The carpet was filthy—our white socks turned black from walking on it. To make matters worse, we did not receive fresh towels, and housekeeping never came to freshen up the room during our stay. I had to personally go to the front desk to request fresh towels, which took forever to arrive. The air conditioning unit was blowing out damp air, contributing to a musty, garbage-like odor throughout the room. Additionally, the walls were dirty, and the overall cleanliness was severely lacking. We were deeply disappointed with this experience, especially during such a difficult time. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the conditions for future guests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay. Clean, well-kept and contemporary design. Service was top-notch. Walking distance to anything you could want to eat or drink, although the weather kept us inside. The Bistro offers a limited but tasty menu. Cable went out soon after we arrived (maybe weather related) but we didnt mind. Bed was very comfortable (I prefer a bit of a softer bed). No problems with the attached parking garage. We stayed on a Friday night of a major holiday weekend. No wait for check-in or check-out. A few noises like closed doors or people talking while passing our room, very reasonable for a hotel. Some street noise, but not nearly as nosiy as I expected staying downtown in a major metropolitan area. Beakfast was great (eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and many cold/continental options). Overall a great time, and we would definitely stay again.

How to park and check in for this hotel was confusing because they have a very small circle to pull up in. If you are not going to Valet park I recommend going on down to the garage and just bring your parking ticket up for validation. I found parking very difficult when it's busy. Not enough spots most reserved for Valet and once you find one it's hard to get out. I had it inch in and out to leave my spot because Valet had parked a bunch of cars behind me and there wasn't enough room to back a minivan up. This hotel is attached to the Courtyard by Marriott literally you can use both sets of elevators. Unfortunately, there was one elevator down for both hotels so taking bags down was rough. The room was great. The trundle pullout couch was perfect for a friend sleepover after a fun night. I love that the toilet is separate from the shower and both have a sink. The window you can close between the living area and bed was great. The bed was my only complaint about the room. It was so hard and had a dent you from so many people sleeping on it. The check in was quick and easy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast had pretty much anything you could imagine. Quiche, potatoes, sausage. Bagels, rolls and sweets. Make your own waffle with lots of toppings. Juices and coffee.
