"The hosts have considered everything needed to make this a comfortable vacation location. From the welcome bottle of wine, books to read, games to play, well stocked kitchen, extra toiletries this was a perfect location for our extended family get away. The house is tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean! Scotsville is close to the community if Inverness, home of the beautiful beach and golf courses. Egypt Waterfall was also a highlight of this trip. We will definitely consider this home...

"A group of us wanted to plan a ski get away in Cape Breton after all of our snow! Only 10 minutes from the hill, we had a fabulous stay at John & Anne’s place. The house is a unique style with stunning ocean views. The house had all the amenities you would need. Communication was quick and easy. We will definitely plan another trip back. "We had a lovely stay in this rustic Cape Breton cottage! The building itself is quite old, and shows its character. It was good for three people, but would be tight for a family or larger group. There's no direct beach access, but it's a 2 minute drive away (or less), and the water was beautiful. Note that any major shopping or necessities will have to be gotten in Sydney, about half an hour away, so plan for that. We appreciated Laura's communication throughout our stay, and the very detailed...

"If you like to be secluded then this is the place..Beautiful setting with the water right there. The house came fully equipped, except fans because of no air and a regular coffee maker, but we made it work..We would of enjoyed the outdoors more but Mother nature had other plans. "This was a great adventure. It might not be for everyone but it sure was for us. There is a bit of a hike to the yurt, which made for a peaceful and secluded stay. Andrea and Clay greeted us and showed us around the place which was beautiful. There is a river right out the door that we swam in, and the yurt was so cozy inside."

"Great place and location. Included golf was excellent. Hard to just go for a walk from the property as it was a busy road but in town for walk wasn’t far to drive. Baddeck had everything you needed and the whole Cabot Trail was there to explore as well. Unfortunate that we had Hurricane Lee come through and the weather was not stellar but made the most of it and it could have been much worse if we were in the direct Hurricane path."

"Very nice mid century house. Probably over 100 years old. Very quaint. Beautiful screened in porch. Nice amenities. Timea fishes lobster and cooked “right off the boat” fresh lobsters and sold for a great price. My friend (I don’t eat them) said they were the best she ever had. Fun and accommodating stay."

"Over the top doesn't begin to rate this property....everything we expected and soooo much more! Our hosts were VERY accommodating. We will DEFINITELY be coming back next year.
