Enjoyable stay with courteous service. We chose this hotel for its central location, connection to the Ipoh Mall and the 6 EV charging bays for hotel guests (at RM1.05/kWh). Our room on the Concept (12th) floor came with a jacuzzi, and overall it was spacious and comfortable, but with some hits and misses. Hits was the large 2 person jacuzzi, the smart tv with screen mirroring, comfy king size bed, powerful water and, uniquely, a drinking water faucet in the bathroom. Oh and also the complimentary breakfast buffet, 5pm-7pm predinner fingerfood and drinks on the lounge within the floor and 11pm supper Misses was our room's vertical blinds in the windows (that had come off-track so we could not enjoy the views), lack of wardrobe space and no small dining table for in-room meals, though the room definitely has space for it. Have bookmarked this hotel as our go-to on our next Ipoh trip.

The Weil Hotel is an average property. No major complaints. But I agree with a number of the other reviewers, it’s nothing special either. Its greatest amenity is a connection to a large mall, which comes in handy on rainy nights. The room was clean, but showing signs of aging. The lighting is poor. With everything on the room stills feels really dark. One central light between the beds is annoying. The staff is friendly, and helpful. We were there at the beginning of a school holiday and the hotel was packed with families. The staff was obviously a bit frazzled. The breakfast buffet was fairly diverse, but mediocre food quality. And the room is cramped.

Good location next to a mall and close to some restaurants and also shops that sell local products. Hotel is also just a short walk to the famous night dessert street. Room is spacious and modern fitted. Hotel stay also comes with a good breakfast buffet!

Pro: connected to the mall with a grocery store. Very easy to find something to eat. Very helpful staff, they can help arrange rides if needed. Con: the room is a little run down, can see some wires in the wall, and the corners of walls are chipped. Overall its a good hotel.

Great place but ...
What a great choice if you're staying in Ipoh! It is very comfortable, great bed linen and probably the best pillows we've experienced in many hotel stays. It is clean and quiet too. Filtered water is available on a separate tap in the bathroom, which is very convenient. Top quality liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner are supplied in the shower. The hotel is close enough to the old town and food stalls so you can walk, even if the footpaths don't exist in some places. The WEIL is attached to a large shopping complex, so very convenient. On the reverse side: due to a delayed flight, no train tickets available from KL, the only option was a bus. We arrived at the hotel at midnight, unsure if we'd be able to get in. Their telephone system is switched over "after hours" to a message saying " no one available, call later". This went on for an hour, so I finally gave up ringing. We decided to take a chance, looking for an overnight option nearby as we took a Grab from the bus station to the hotel. To our relief, reception was staffed and we were quickly checked in. Next: no information was provided to us about the facilities in the hotel. On day four, our last day, we decided to have breakfast in-house (due to time constraints), only to discover it was included in our room rate! Having said that, it wasn't very exciting anyway. The coffee out of the machine was tasteless, there were no pastries and the fresh fruit was less than appetising to look at.
