Splash in the wave pool, build sandcastles and race down speed slides at Grand Island’s popular summer water park.

Enjoy summer in Nebraska to its fullest at Island Oasis Water Park. Find the park in the quintessentially Midwestern town of Grand Island. Join thousands of tourists and local residents who gather here every year for fun in the sun and splashing in the water.

Slip and slide your way down Island Oasis Water Park’s many rides. Zoom down the park’s speed slides. Both are six stories high and nearly 300 feet (90 meters) long. Zip through the two flume slides, which pour out into large splash pools. Brave your way through the enclosed slides, which take you on a dark 150-foot (45-meter) journey.

Enjoy relaxing fun in the Lazy River. Drift along the 750-foot (230-meter) water course, featuring bubbles, fountains and showers. Splash and float a tube in the massive Wave Pool. Children can enjoy safe aquatic entertainment in the zero-depth areas with fountains and an otter slide. Try hopping across the Lily Pad or balancing on the Log Walk.

Take a break from rides and relax in the shady shelter area. Play a game of beach volleyball, build a sand castle or simply enjoy the sun from your beach chair.

Get refreshments or snacks at the concession stand and enjoy lunch on one of the park’s picnic tables. Look for a memento from your visit at the souvenir stand.

Purchase your admission ticket at the entry gate. If you’re visiting with a family, take advantage of the Family Pass ticket option. Seniors, students and children have reduced admission prices. Rent life jackets and inner tubes to enjoy your trip to the fullest. Keep your belongings safe and dry in one of the rental lockers.

Visit Island Oasis Water Park between the end of May and late August. During these summer months, it is open every day from noon through mid-evening. Check online for hours during August when cooler weather may cause closures. Find the park just northwest of Fonner Park and Nebraska State Fair facilities.
