Breakfast was plenty full. Slight changes in menu daily. WiFi was very good. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and spacious. However, TV did not work. But we were on our devices so it was okay. Daily house keeping was good with everything refilled including bottle of water and fresh towels. The floor was not hoovered during our stay. Excellent location to get to the city. Tram stop in 4 minutes.

Really clean hotel and amazing staff. Front desk always available and will always help. Need transportation to airport, it’s easy to setup with front desk. Easy to get to the city centre from hotel. We stayed for 5 days and our room getting cleaned every day. Will stay again here.

Convenient but not all that quiet

Porta Romanos was a very affordable find for my business stay in Istanbul. A 15-minute walk from the subway I took each morning to my trade show I found the hotel quite convenient. I would say the area lacks a good choice of restaurants, but I managed to eat fine. The optional breakfast offered by the hotel was fine though the only choice in eggs was hard-boiled (perhaps my American bias showing). While my room was clean and comfortable I found the walls to be paper thin. Every night around midnight whoever was staying next door came back to their room without any care or concern for their neighbors. I could hear the shouting and laughing as if they were in my room. Only one night out of my 5-night stay was quiet next door. Otherwise, a very helpful staff and well run hotel.

Pleasant stay, location was great as the tram was right near the hotel allowing transport to all the tourist places. Rooms were decent, some on the smaller side with small bathrooms. Ac and plumbing noise and main road noise during the nights.The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Room was not good, one bed was missing. When asked, staff said I should have requested 5th person bedding. When I showed him my booking details, he was like oh, we didn't know. Then he said house keeping staff is gone and he brought a temporary bed with no comforter! Room was very outdated with very low ceiling. I'm 5'10" and I bumped my head into ceiling as I went near wall. Ceiling was slanted to very low level in the room and in washroom. Moreover, breakfast this morning had nothing. No juices, no bread, only boiled eggs and some cheeses with pickled salad etc. I can bet, most of the positive reviews online are fake! It's a 2 star motel claiming to be a 4 star hotel! I have pictures if needs to be uploaded.

The parking lot is not the biggest, but the staff is trying to help someone. The introduction and service are very good. Very helpful staff. I didn't like breakfast very much, but I went to the restaurant very late. Public transport stops are just a few minutes' walk away. I liked everything except breakfast and I will definitely come again.
