"Hotels are expected to make their guests feel at ease and comfortable. Customers are supposed to feel that they are getting their money's worth. Hotel Jaipur Palace's tagline ironically states: "Place for Royal Hospitality". Unfortunately this statement only remains as a tagline/ copy. My room mate and I witnessed how much their reception staff was poorly trained with regard to simple customer-relations protocol. What happened? Our bath tub couldn't drain the water. "It wasn’t a good experience. One of the front guest was very rude to start with, room didn’t have complimentary water bottles, no free breakfast, TV wasn’t working even after several calls, no lift, had to pay for AC room at the front desk ( thought that I booked a room with AC), no parking, the towels weren’t fresh and dogs were barking all thru the night and we couldn’t sleep. The list goes on. In the same trip, I stayed in Delhi and Agra and rooms were very good for the same price… "

"The service was excellent. We got help with every problem we had, eg. getting a SIM-card, leaving our luggage after check in, getting my friends shoes fixed, etc. We booked a day package from the hotel (incl. car). Our guide (Mahindra - hope I spell your name right) was excellent, he answered all our question about language, culture, history etc., he even cooked us his favourite meal (goat-stew) at night after finding out we would like to try real local cuisine. We really felt very welcome....

"What a magical place! The room was incredible. I felt like a princess here! Little gardens, fountains, secret spots to explore with in the property. Great breakfast, evening entertainment with Rajasthani music and dancing. Lovely pool with the most beautiful paintings on the wall along side. The staff are so friendly and lovely. Such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel."
