"A superbly presented house with great amenities and privacy within the house. With a hot tub, sauna and pool accessible, whatever the weather brings there is something for all to enjoy. Very safe and friendly for babies and pet dogs, with a secure garden and minimal excess furniture that babies could pull on and could fall on them. "A total mistake on my part making a booking at this hotel. It's inadequate in every way possible, no proper en suite, awful towels, etc. etc. I do not understand how a family could cope in these so called family rooms. Unfortunately I did not realise it is trying to be a theme type experience, rather than being a 'proper" hotel. We arrived at 5 pm and there was no parking available. The reception, corridor flooring etc. is as scruffy as you can get. I hope this helps to dissuade you from booking...

Only a one night stay

"We booked the hotel to attend a music concert at the Futurascope Arena. The hotel is clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The bar has tables with games on them which was a unique touch. Check-in was easy, staff where very friendly and efficient. Room was a good size, bed was comfortable. The only downsides were that their were no drink making facilities in the room and the bathroom and toilet area were tired. We would use the hotel again. "

"This place is impeccable. In spite of it being in an historic building it has been lovingly maintained. Our triple room had an enormous bedroom with twin sinks. The beds were in separate rooms and there were original paintings on the walls. Breakfast was very good. Stay there if you’re in the area."

"Our stay at the hotel was perfect from start to finish. The owners are super friendly and offered plenty of advice about the surrounding area, and tips on recommended places to visit. The attention to detail on the decor of the whole property gives a truly comforting & relaxed feel. The hotel is in a great location within a short 5-10 minute walk in to Chinon centre. I would highly recommend this property."

Beautiful countryside retreat!

"We had a wonderful stay at the gite and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the gorgeous surroundings. The gite is isolated at the top of the hill but for us this was one of its attractions. We enjoyed walking our dog and running from this location, the surrounding sunflower and pumpkin fields were gorgeous! The gite itself is lovely, comfy beds, great bathrooms and superb outside space to explore . We loved the pool area and eating outside on the patio was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful stay x"
