"Fascinating architecture -- a textile factory that's been done up. It has exposed ceilings and huge windows. It's clean and the bed is comfortable and the staff are kind and the kitchen was well-equipped, except for the coffee maker. I loath the 'expresso' makers that require a coffee capsule - it's just super-expensive instant coffee that gives you the fake feeling that you're a barista, and the resulting cup is disappointing. "Overall wonderful place, well above the 3 stars it has. I didn’t give full marks as there were some bits that can be fixed easily. Mainly in the bathroom the shower washer needs changing as it sprays from the side, I think someone needs to look at the rims inside the toilet bowl because I noticed a lot of dirt, mirror has a slight chip on the top left hand side and there were some old gummy bears from previous occupants under the sofa. Comfort of the room was great and I really enjoyed my stay...

"Located in the Altstadt. 2 years ago I stayed in a hotel in the Neustadt. A bit of a walk from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) when I arrived, as I didn't know the tram system and which top to get off. As it turned out, I could take the Number1 or 6, getting off at the same stop (Ritterstrasse) Found out and took the tram back when I let Brandenburg a.d. Havel. Front desk was not particularly helpful when I asked, particularly where to buy a ticket (Fahrkarte)."

Peaceful, quiet location

"Really nice property, well kept and clean throughout. Location is really peaceful, quite some way from any towns or villages. Good communications from hosts and easy to access on arrival. The log burner was a lovely touch too. It's not clear on the listing that the property is upstairs - not a problem for us but would be for anyone with mobility issues. There's no wifi (making it great for a get away from it all stay!) and no microwave. A guide to the location would have been useful, to show where the wood store/bike shed was (we found it OK though) and how the heating worked."

"Sehr schön gelegener Bungalow an der Havel. Für Selbstverpfleger ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Klein aber fein. Mehr als 2 Personen können dort aber nicht urlauben. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in ca.10 km Entfernung. Auto wäre also angebracht. Oder für Sportliche ein Rad. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Mein Mann war angeln und ich habe relaxt. Wir empfehlen dieses Anwesen gerne weiter. Hat ein wenig Ossi Charm. Yvonne und Thomas"
