"Booked for 2 nights, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The gala dinner, though expensive was excellent, music, dance, food, drink and service was exceptional. We stayed in two of the luxury "Tents", which had all the amenities of a normal room and felt special. Close to shops and some restaurants, walking distance. Impeccable hotel, beautiful. Salon near by, really good gym. Winter so pool was out, but too cold in the evening. "

"Gorgeous property with a palace, surrounding beautiful grounds and a huge lake. There are too many features to list. The highlight of the trip was the abundant wildlife in the property grounds. "The people hosting were nice enough. However, property facilities were not suitable enough for the weary traveller. It's difficult to get to. No locks on door. Can't bring outside water bottles in. Bed not clean. Insects like spiders and ants in room. Aircon and electricity was shut off in middle of night. It was not made clear to us in the first place that this was a home stay, not a hotel. Would definately not recommend"

"Chandelao Garh is more than just a good hotel. It's an experience. Facilities, the food and service are nearly impecable and the best I've found in India. But what really stands out is the experience and the tours offered. Even though it's situated in a small village, you should spend at least a couple nights here. So glad we've found this place to recharge batteries and see rural India."
