"I spent two weeks at Yog Niketan and loved my beautiful room which led out onto the garden. The Ganges and the ghats were right there, through a gate from the garden. It was a 5 minute walk to a nightly aarti, about 10 minutes walk to Ram Jhula bridge and another 15 minutes or so to Laxman Jhula. Just a perfect location. At Yog Niketan a few things are included in the stay, notably a yoga session in the morning and a lovely chanting meditation in the evening, by Apana. I did the chanting every evening and it was wonderful. There's also a free of charge high tea every evening at 4.30 with lots of comfort-type food. I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. "

"My parents visited after I booked this property for them without much idea of lrje area and property. As per their feedback getting their isn’t straight and area feels odd. Doesn’t feel like resort as looked so nice in pic. Property isn’t maintained up to the standards of the pic. and their service was just OK. "

"Excellent location; very nice views. They encouraged us to go to vaar restaurant, 5 minutes away by walk in the nighttime. When we were returning at about 10 pm lical people accosted us. We had to run to the hotel. Better security would be helpful or should not encourage us to go out at nighttime. "

"The food options are limited, breakfast options are same everyday, also very few options.. Despite being a 5 star, it doesn’t feel like one. There is very little space in the property where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings. There are no views as such, there is steep hike to the Ganga. The Ganga Arti is nice. In the night since it’s so close to the road, you can hear trucks noise all night. Staff is polite but requests take forever to fulfil."

"We booked family grand room. However, we were given a room that was completely different from the photos of the room that is in description. While the room could fit 3 adults and was as big, the decor of the room resembled the rooms with earthly decor. This was initially disappointing. The room as per photos were all booked out. The management went above and beyond in service to make up for this change and after 3 nights we were given the room that is shown in photos. Having compared both rooms, we found the original room (earthly decor) was more practical with small kids as this room was completely flat and did not have any stairs. the rooms that are shown in photos has stairs. Also the original room (with earthly decor) had TV facing the bed which kids and us much referred. I would highly advise that whoever gets this earthly decor room as family grand room and while this may not be what you expected, this room may be better for what you need as a family. "

"I booked this sight unseen, from the US. We Rishikesh for a memorable trip - this hotel was well reviewed on several sites. It is set in a spectacular location, with a clear view of the Ganga. The approach road is, as is typical for Rishikesh, a one-lane narrow street - friendly people at both ends keep watch to ensure that cars do not go in at the same time at both ends! The rooms are clean, comfortable and have fans as well as heating (I did not check the air-conditioning). The food is excellent - it is strictly vegetarian and since they do not have a liquor license, one cannot get alcohol in the restaurant. The staff arranged a tuk-tuk for us to visit other locations in Rishikesh. They are extremely friendly and nice, especially the front desk."
