great stay
Had a great experience and stay, centrrally located and boomed off area. Accomodation/room was very comfortable albeit a bit small and it would be a good idea to get solar laterns for load shedding. The host was super friendly, accomodating and I enjoyed a great breakfast. Would highly recommend

Dorr Guesthouse Peace
The house is beautiful, clean, and located in a lovely location. The staff was so professional and kind. They were such a help to me as a single woman traveling alone. Their attention to detail is impeccable and the service I received was top of the line. I would stay there again and recommend them to anyone who wants to experience the peace of Johannesburg.

Nice guesthouse in the suburbs of Joburg
Will come back for sure but will choose a different/larger room. The room is nice, however, for me too small for my comfort for my duration of four nights; this is the only negative. I'd enjoyed the daily water with lemon and the room was always cleaned properly. Hot water was working and ample shower pressure. Wi-fi worked well and there were no issues; absolute plus for me As for the host, he was from the beginning to end excellent! Very knowledgeable about the area and bent over backward to assist me with some personal errands. He gave a lot of attention to detail daily when it came to breakfast which I'd truly enjoyed; in particular, the ample amount of fresh fruit provided displayed as though you were in a five-star restaurant, The decor of the grounds was manicured to a beautiful display. Security is not an issue at this location.

Pleasant overnight stay
We enjoyed our stay at this guest house. The manager Seivern was very helpful suggesting places to eat and visit on the following day. He organized an uber taxi for us. The breakfast was very filling and well presented and the rooms have good bedding and very clean.

A gem in Sandton.
This was an amazing find for us. The Dorr Guesthouse is an oasis of comfort in the big city and offers a home feeling for guests. The grounds and garden provide a nice relaxing atmosphere. Host Dieter and his manager Severin are very welcoming and exceptional cooks providing a wonderful full breakfast each morning. It is a change from big city hotels.
