"Was a bit confusing getting to the location at first but we found our way. The size was perfect for our stay. Didn’t need anything big. The floor boards between the rooms was noisy so it was hard getting to the restroom quietly and not waking anyone. It was quiet, except when students came but that was when we were about to leave for the day. Shower was spacious and clean and hot. We really appreciated the tea and breakfast option. "

"Excellent pace to stay, close to the train station, pubs and bars , room looks modern, clean and fresh, although over the road from a busy bar we slept really well as the new windows blocked out any noise , we did have and issue with room keys on arrival but we sorted it with the help of another guest , we’d definitely stay again ."

"We had a great time here. Nice property and grounds to walk around. They have 2 sheep on the property (gated away) that we passed by on our walk through the woods (watch out for pesky nettle in Ireland)! Great hospitality from Eva (the caretaker) and the bread and jam basket was lovely. Clean and heat worked well. Plenty of parking if need be. Full kitchen stocked with everything we needed, even a French press! Ciaran had great communication and responded quickly to any questions we had before...

"This is truly a special place. We were a multi-generational group. My mom, my grandmother who is 93, my three sons ranging in age from 9 years to 10 months, and myself. I am not sure where to begin. "Trim Castle Cottage was a great place to stay when we visited the Trim area. We not only visited Trim, but also Newgrange and my wife’s ancestors’ home area in Westmeath. This made the location of the cottage perfect. The cottage itself had a spot to park the car, which was a must have. It was immaculately clean and very functional for the two couples on the trip. We would definitely rent again when we visit Trim in the future. "

"The Grooms Cottage was a rustic wonderful stay. It is in the country but really not far from shops. Having only 1 bathroom was a little difficult in the morning with 5 adults but they are working on an upstairs one, it just wasn't ready for our stay. I definitely would come back to the Grooms Cottage!"
