Enjoy the spectacular views from our LUXURY vacation home perched 100 feet above the sea.
The space
New modern vacation home on the rugged southwest coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking the ocean and mountains, our home gives easy access to wonderful beaches and spectacular old growth forest. This friendly area is a treat for nature lovers and is the perfect place for exciting activities or deep relaxation. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a king bed as well as a double sofa bed in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen with a gas range, cable TV with Netflix, gas fireplace and bluetooth speaker. Enjoy the propane fire table and gas BBQ on the balcony where you'll want to spend hours looking out at the spectacular ocean and mountain views.

Other things to note
This area is popular for fishing, cycling and hiking. Surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking down the Gordon River is very popular. So many places to go hiking and exploring including the gorgeous Botanical Beach and the old growth of Avatar Grove. Take a 10 minute drive to Fairy Lake and another 15 minutes toLizard Lake and enjoy floating on an air mattress or a dip in the lake to cool off in the heat of the summer months. Check out the entrance to the West Coast and Juan d'Fuca Trails. Take a 5 minute stroll to the new Gateway marina and Bridgeman's Bistro. Other amenities are the Port Renfrew Pub, the Coastal Kitchen (open seasonally) and Tomi's Cafe (great coffee, breakfast and lunch) at the foot of Baird Road.

First time vrbo
This was our first time using VRBO. It was an excellent experience all around. This location was analyzing! So close to botanical Beach which was our main draw to this area. We did visit other braces as well and were very happy with this location for ease of use. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

Fantastic setting and home
We were very impressed with the accomodation as it was even nicer than in the photos. The view was spectacular from the balcony and we were close to beautiful walks in the area. Lynda was very supportive and accomodating and we would definitely consider returning. We also appreciated that the kitchen was well appointed and the home had all the extras! Thank you again!

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this is it! The coastal cottage is well stocked with games and books, magazines and a nice view! Don’t rely on local pubs/restaurants to eat out, their hours are unreliable and food is just mediocre. Cook in! And bring all grocery necessities with you.

Oasis in Port Renfrew
We made a last minute decision to go away for a long weekend and chose to visit Port Renfrew for the first time. The photos don't do this place justice, it was spacious, comfortable, quiet, well-equipped and full of thoughtful touches. Thanks for a supremely relaxing stay.

Wild West Coast - Nature and Storms
With our daughter and her husband, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our four days in the cottage. It was stocked with everything you could need and more. This beautifully decorated and homey cottage was a relaxing location to take in the wild west coast. With a propane stove and gas fireplace, we were warm and cozy and able to prepare our meals even when a winter storm knocked out power for a few hours. We highly recommend this property.

The property literally checked all the boxes...We had an incredible stay. The hosts had everything we needed and more. We took in some of the nearby sites which were pretty amazing and just chilled and relaxed on the balcony watching the fishing boats, listening to the waves, and enjoyed the view. All the comforts of home and an awesome view of the water. Given limited restaurants in the area, wish I’d planned on cooking both nights we were there but the pub worked out too. Great location for hiking the Juan de Fuca.

Amazing!!!
What a great property! We had a very relaxing stay with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, smart TV and best of all an amazing view of the ocean. We spent many hours outside on the deck enjoying the fire table and the view. Port Renfrew is very small so don’t expect shopping or a night life. This is truly a place where you can unwind and unplug. We will be back!!

Perfect spot to unwind
Came here with friends visiting us from out of town. This was the perfect break from Victoria to unwind and catch up. This place has everything you need to bbq and make a nice meal. The fire table was greatly appreciated to take the chill off at night or while enjoying the wildlife in the morning with a coffee. Will definitely be keeping this on my list to enjoy in the future!

A beautiful view...
This cottage was perfect for our family of three. We stayed for two nights, but I think 3 nights would have been better. Lynda was lovely to work with, answering all my questions quickly. She suggested that we may just want to sit and enjoy the beautiful view and she could not have been more right. We managed to get ourselves off the comfy couch though to do some hiking. We loved Botanical Beach and cannot wait to go back to explore again. We wandered down to the beach in Port Renfrew, enjoying the incredible view and waves rolling in. We found seats carved into a log on the beach and relaxed. We ordered takeout from the Port Renfrew pub and everything was delicious. But back to the cottage, it had everything we needed, including toys and books for our son, puzzles, and board games. And the place was very clean! Lynda puts a great deal of care into ensuring her guests are comfortable. We plan to visit again! Thank you, Lynda, for sharing your cottage with us.
