"The hotel is connected to the shopping mall so it's really convenient. We really enjoyed the club lounge (staff there is really nice!) and they even provide the airport transfer for free which is a big plus. We didn't expect too much of the hotel but the hotel is much nicer than the photo on their website. We strongly recommend to stay the club room if your budget allowed."

"No-frills room in a convenient location. Plenty of local food, shopping, bars and cafes, and the riverfront nearby. Air conditioning is cold. Bed was comfortable. For some reason when the person in the room next door walks, the floor shakes. Absent owner was helpful from a distance with tips on Whatsapp."

"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. "The hotel is simple but decent, located pretty close to waterfront and most places of interest are in walkable range from here. You can find bars, restaurants (the is a good breakfast restaurant right behind and the famous Ceylonese Restaurant next to it), 7-eleven. The was a slight funky smell in the shower and this could be improved. They also let us check in early which was nice bonus for us. "

"The pillow case and bedsheet were not clean. Some black stains. The flushing in the toilet needs to press a second time before it stops. The lights in the room are blinking. They should be changed. The toilet’s tiles are in need of a good scrub! The staff are pleasant though. Overall the location is good, the facilities are in need of an upgrade."

"The cleanliness is ok. But the hotel is not handicap friendly as there is no lift n tv in the room is not even working. The lighting in the room pretty poor. No aircond remote to reduce or increase the temperatures. Water coming out from the shower is slow n the hot water not working either."

"The staff are very friendly and professional, ensuring your safety. The hotel is centrally located making it easy to walk to nearby shops and attractions. The Pullman is currently under renovation, which it sorely needs as its age is showing in the west and year of its rooms. Once the renovations are done, the hotel will be more pleasant."

"Initially my wife and I had a room that the A/C was a bit old and the room was hot but the staff were fast to fix the problem and our stay was amazing after that. The breakfast buffet doesn't have tons of options but they have the essentials and it was quite tasty. We particularly enjoyed how close it was to the cultural visit which was one of the options for picking this spot, only a 10 min walk from the hotel. Overall I would recommend people to stay here but it would be worth the upgrade of the room in order to get the best facilities and options. "

"Positives 1.Extremely comfortable beds, we slept so well. 2.The water pressure in the shower was super strong. Wonderful shower. 3. Location is perfect. 4. Lovely patio area overlooking the library. 5. Wonderful service from reception. Negatives- breakfast I was so surprised how poor the breakfast was and this is something that could be remedied easily. The coffee was too weak (almost transparent). First morning i ordered the eggs and almost cried when i saw the quantity of food on the plate. That piece of garlic bread is insignificant and doesnt even taste good. Why not invest in sourdough bread and serve a thick slice with the eggs and maybe a sausage. Even the fruit in the buffet area looked a bit pathetic. Please upgrade your breakfast to match the quality of the rest of the hotel. "
